No, that bolt is on the body about 6 inches behind the bracket. The bracket is a support for the fender liner and uses a push pin. With the angle of the way I took the photo is does look like they are close together.
Ok, so 2 hours later (I am not a body repair person) I got the gap between...
Another issue that I am working on this morning. The gap between the passenger door and the front fender only at the bottom is so small that it almost looks like they can touch when opening. For reference I took a photo of the drivers side which is perfect. Since the door is perfectly aligned...
I haven't allowed the battery to go down that far. Every time I work on the car, I plug it into the CTEK charger (40-206 MXS 5.0) because I usually have the doors open and am constantly reviving the electrical to work on it. You do have to allow the notifications on the phone to be active all...
No, I did not use glue. I do have that E6000 glue and it is very very good. I wanted something so in case I were to remove the letters to change the color in the future I could. I used GE 100% clear silicone glue. That way it could be removed and I can clean up the plastic on the splitter...
Jaime, yes the letters on the splitter are smoother than the rest of the splitter but certainly not as smooth as say the paint finish on the car or the radiator support I put the other set I had on. Personally, I think the adhesive on both the Domed letters and the vinyl letters I got from...
Jaime, I meant the splitter is textured plastic and the adhesive on the domed letters (they are smooth) I got would not stick well to it. I bet the adhesive on the letters you got from Zimcraft is much better if they stick well.
Like I said, I don't get right on top of them. I keep about three feet away from the letters using my electric 1900 PSI pressure washer with a 15Ëš nozzle so it is really not high pressure at all. Of course I get closer when washing the rest of the car. Even washing them with a hose, they were...
The splitter is textured plastic and the vinyl and domed letters would not stick after a few passes with my pressure washer. I figured the only solution was to glue them down. I did not want to use a permeant glue like gorilla glue or epoxy in case I wanted to change out the letters for a...
Jaime, agree with not liking the cool feeling on the butt. As far as the heat, I don't drive the car in cold weather and where I live, it never snows and rarely gets very cold. In fact it is the opposite and our summers usually hover around 100+ during the day (86 right now as I am typing...
The Recaro's in the GT500 are manual. I don't have an issue getting in and out of them like some people I guess. Yes you cannot just slide right out of them and they are more of a pain to get in and out of but once you are in them, they are so comfortable.
Yes Earl, that is almost exactly like mine. It is just my photo looks a little squashed because of the way I took it but it looks just like yours because I got my stripes from Ford for the 2013 GT500.
Yes Tom, all vinyl except these three black patches right here. I am seriously considering having it redone in leather. I had Katzkin full leather seating (including the backs of the seats) done in my Escape. It was Italian
leather and felt so nice to sit in.
And if we are going to get picky about fonts, there is a slight difference with the GT500 fonts people are showing here. If you look at the first photo, this is not the font that Ford uses. The spacing in the letter G and the number 5 are slightly wider between the lines and the G has...
While I agree with Kent and there isn't much space for the GT500 lettering all on the front fenders, I still like it there the best. However, looking again at the OP's 500, centered in the middle of the door is starting to grow on me. On the fenders, there is 3/4" of black vinyl on each side...
Here are my seats and as you can see from Kent's photos, there is no difference at least none that I can tell. The vinyl and Miko suede are all in the same places. I have said this before and what really bothers me is Ford lists these Recaro seats "leather trimmed". The ONLY leather on these...
Jaime, funny you should ask that as I just asked Kent to send me photos of his seats so I can see what the differences are. Personally, I don't think there are any differences. I think Ford just changed the description of the Recaro seats in their literature. I will post photos of my seats here...
