  1. How much will a 2015 GT PP be worth this fall for GT350 trade-in?

Curious to hear what you guys think we'll be able to get for the GT PP this fall? I don't even have a Mustang but a guy at work has a 2015 with less than 2k miles that he has to get rid of and he has told me he wants $39k for it: sticker was $44k. What will this car be worth this fall...
  2. Triple Yellow GT350 Mustang

Stripes belong on AC Cobras not modern cars. This just looks infantile.
  3. Rumor - The GT500 thread

I just don't think we're going to ever see a turbocharged Voodoo (from the factory). I really hope I am wrong but I don't think Ford would sink all the R&D into an engine that would only ever go into one vehicle (it won't fit into the Ford GT).
  4. Rumor - The GT500 thread

Turbocharging is the way to go - I think Ford is done working with superchargers, it's kind of a half-ass aftermarket approach to making more power. I want to see the 3.5 V6 EcoBoost in the GT500. If they want to chase the Hellcat market and want another heavy, uninspired supercharged boat...
  5. Getting a GT350 at MSRP

Don't pay MSRP! This is a volume car, hold out for discounts - even in the beginning.
  6. Serious reservations about the 5.2 now...

It's an odd duck for sure. And the aftermarket for this powerplant is going to be basically nonexistent. I kind of wonder if the money should not have been spent on developing a lower compression version of the Coyote with forged internals and tack on $15k in cooling and turbocharging. Such a...
  7. Serious reservations about the 5.2 now...

If this is true why did Ford not develop the Voodoo to compete in LMGTE? Why did Ford spend money on this engine that it is only going to put into a single, low-production vehicle? Something doesn't seem right to me. Sorry.
  8. Serious reservations about the 5.2 now...

The classing rules for LeMans is really irrelevant here. Regardless of those rules, Ford development money is going to be spent on focusing on that 3.5 V6. If they can develop 600+ hp from that engine, and especially in a motorsport application, that is the engine I want in my Mustang, not a...
  9. Serious reservations about the 5.2 now...

Absolutely not. Ford spoke loud and clear when they announced the GT. The V8 is in their rear-view mirror.
  10. Serious reservations about the 5.2 now...

Randy - I have no doubt. Much as the Z/28 is fitted with the very last of a dying breed (7.0 liter LS7) I am wondering if the GT350 is in the same boat. I do think the collectability of the 350R is very, very likely. I am not sure if I believe all the hysteria about Ford ditching V8's, but I...
  11. Serious reservations about the 5.2 now...

It seems that Ford is moving to the EcoBoost era and with the power potential of that 3.5 V6 going into the Raptor and GT, it really makes me wonder if the Voodoo is going to be a short-lived stepchild in the new Ford portfolio. I think it goes without saying that it is very clear that the...
  12. GT350 as a daily driver?

It's a goddamned Mustang not a Ferrari. Why wouldn't you drive it daily? This is not a rare, exotic, or limited production vehicle. DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT. The car has navigation and heated seats...of course it will be an excellent daily driver. I have had cars with Magnetic...
  13. Option Speculations

I heard that the Shaker audio was part of the Tech package - but what is the Shaker audio? Is that the subwoofer?
  14. Option Speculations

So we have already heard that there will be both a Technology Pack and a Track Pack. Is it safe to assume that the track pack will include the magnetic suspension components? Or will this be a larger, more expensive one-off option? I am also curious if anyone has any idea about other...
  15. Will the GT500 be a 2016 or 2017 MY?

Superchargers do not belong on track cars. If they put a supercharger on the GT500 then Ford is basically saying that they want to compete against the Hellcat and not the Z/28. If they want to fight the Z/28 they need a turbo Coyote or Voodoo. No superchargers.
  16. GT350 Mustang Pricing [Update: rumored $52,995 starting price]

It's a turbo engine. Ferrari is going all-turbo and in fact a lot of their cars already are getting the turbo treatment.
  17. Is SVT about to be rebranded? Major announcements set for Detroit

If Ford wants to make a new GT the only thing they should do is just turbocharge the Voodoo and put it into the same Ford GT they made back in 2005. That car was perfect and needs no updating.
  18. GT350 Mustang Pricing [Update: rumored $52,995 starting price]

The GT500 isn't really the top of the Mustang food chain in many people's eyes including my own. Despite all of that power it is heavy, has a poor suspension, and not really set up for track abuse like the Boss 302. The GT500 is really a car for old guys who like to brag about horsepower...
  19. GT350 Mustang Pricing [Update: rumored $52,995 starting price]

The Magnetic ride suspension, the brakes, and most importantly the engine + transmission alone are worth it in my opinion. Honestly I think the Mustang GT is a phenomenal bargain already, so I do see your point but at $53k base this GT350 is a heck of a value. Compare it to the $75,000 BMW...
  20. GT350 gears and speeds

I care much more about 75mph cruising RPMs and gas mileage than I do about pissing contests over 0-60 times which are metrics that RWD cars like Mustangs and Corvettes are never going to be great at. Now, 60-120mph....I do care about that. :)
