  1. How long do your 19" rear tires last?

I'm on the 19 Nero A/S and I have 7/32" remaining @ 6500 miles. They come new with 10/32". I generally change my tires when they get to 4/32" Assuming linearity and even wear, I'm looking at 12,000-14,000 estimated.
  2. ** Funny Images/Pics Thread **

Forgive me for resurrecting this dead and buried thread, but we all need humor in our everyday lives. Here's my contribution for today:
  3. Pictures of people taking pictures of your car.

This is starting to look like a wormhole!
  4. underneath the back bumper

Agreed. Should be real simple to replace. Looks like its there to stabilize the bumper cover.
  5. underneath the back bumper

Hope this helps... sorry for the poor quality selfie camera pic. It looks like there should be two arms that connect to the bumper.
  6. What is a normal amount of oil consumption for a 5.0?

Another data point here: Added 1/2 qt in 3500 miles since last change. Car has 6300 miles. I don't remember any loss from the initial factory fill.
  7. Front end feels a little too "loose". What will I need to fix it?

Great suggestion on pressure - and a very cheap handling "mod." Once your pressures are right the addition of a strut tower brace and a lower K-brace really tighten the front up. Remember that the PP GT already comes with the tower brace. I found that it was my rear end that felt loose...
  8. Unsolicited Compliments

Occasionally I pick my daughter up from High School. All of the guys waiting to be picked up are usually staring. If not, a little rev from the Magnaflow Comps gets them to immediately ignore their phones. Compliments get thrown my way as we drive off. I think a lot of the compliments come...
  9. Tire dressing recommendations?

I prefer matte black finish with no shine. I've been a 303 Aerospace fan for a long time and still use it on the interior, but switched to Black Fire All-in-one trim and tire protectant for the exterior. I find that it gives a deeper matte black finish that lasts for several weeks.
  10. How do I remove a sealer?

My guess was the all in one might serve as a light polish and a wax. The sealer was likely an extender, shine enhancer. If your happy with it leave it be. The difference for all the extra work is likely minimal. Unless you plan to compete in car shows, no one will notice. If OCD kicks in...
  11. Rear end "sloshing" sound

I bypassed E85 all together and switched to solid rocket fuel. Eliminating the sloshing was an added plus. :headbonk:
  12. Barely had my car a month...

Search google images for "stupid parking notes" Many good ideas for windshield handouts.
  13. New Stang/First post

This was my white Mustang when I was in high school. I had to help put it together from two junkers.
  14. Anyone's S550 static charged?

The California duster will turn brownish with use. I washed mine for the first time in 8 years this weekend. Much silt came out, but took mechanical agitation and woolite to extract. As long as you drag the duster across the surface and don't apply downward pressure, it's all good. Shake...
  15. Spring cleaning and mods

Looks good. Only criticism is those tire need some dressing!
  16. Anyone's S550 static charged?

I can't help on the shock, but for the dust - pick up a "California Duster" set. I can de-pollenate my car in under a minute. A small one does wonders for the dust and lint inside car.
  17. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

I let my pony our of the corral today. Dodged showers on the Parkway today. Much fun was had.
  18. Cleaning brake dust off painted calipers

Regular soap/brush/elbow grease works fine as stated. I have used this Meguir's Hot Rims spray with much success. It really loosens the grime so that a quick pass with a brush or wash mitt gets it clean. I have used this product on a 2001 Toyota Avalon with clear coated rims for the past 15...
  19. fender pins?

I bought a set of these on Amazon. My future great-grandchildren should be set for life with a gracious plenty of push pins. :D...
  20. Vehicle Health Report - Restraints & Driver Assistance (Uncertain)

Just a guess here... I know if you run the report with your handbrake on it will give you a brake malfunction finding in the report. Is there a chance it gives you a seatbelt malfunction if you are not buckled up when running the report?
