Everyone is very excited about these events. Even though they are 1/8 mile and limited to 6.0 et they are sorely needed. It’s a more streetcar oriented event. There are people welding mufflers on their fender exit street cars as we speak haha.
I have a Hellion sleeper kit installed and can tell you both blow off valves should be closed. If the clamps are too tight on them they will bind and get stuck (blow off valves). It’s not really a vacuum leak and it’s before the maf sensor but will definitely change the airflow characteristics...
Funny, I removed that mechanical scavenge setup myself after the crank bolt failed and I promptly smoked out an entire highway. I went with an electric pump and am seriously considering the comp turbos if these precision’s ever go or get damaged
They will both “shine” but under different circumstances. It’s my opinion though that with the 6MT the choice would be whipple vs centri. With the auto all three at similar power levels never really fall out of the hp curve but the nod goes to the whipple on the hit with the turbos being more...
PTE are precision turbos. The journal bearing turbos do use water. The ceramic ball bearing turbos do not. The kit will come with the required materials/hoses oil restrictor etc based on whatever turbos you choose.
Top mount is definitely bling. I’m guessing by 55s you are talking about hellions 55s
Depends which 55s you are planning on getting. Precision’s or Hellions etc. Hellion has stated there is no real performance different between their top and low mount kits. The top mount is more expensive...
Sleeper kit is the low mount kit from Hellion. The oil/water lines depend on which turbos you go with. The base Hellion sleeper turbos are both water cooled and oil fed so you need both water and oil feed/return lines. I went with precision gen 2s so I only have oil feed and a return system...
Haven’t dynoed it on E. She made 826 on pump with some boostane a few years back. Easily over 1k now. No tracks out here either just Mexico and she does very well :giggle:
