Yep, that's a blower whine. I haven't driven my GT500 in 2 months (Michigan :)) but when I heard the sound I got a jolt of happy! Definitely in there on purpose but I don't know why. Hmmmm
Grimace427, thanks for posting te vids. I love seeing cars with temp plates getting beat on. Lol
I never thought this new Vette would be such a strong drag performer. Impressive.
460 hp. BUT, bone stock Stingrays have dipped well into the 11's at the strip and pulled way over 1G in the skids. It seems like a very balanced and effective car.
Back to the OP, I'll answer your question straight out. YES. If Ford can deliver a car just as you suggest I will indeed get in...
Are you baiting us? I might buy the Stingray at 52k (base) and be super happy that I've got the most competent "sports car" for the money. Never had a Vette and this ones the best yet and cheap.
Or I might buy ANOTHER Mustang. I don't know yet.
How bout you?
I'm with you. Tried and true. The auto is incredible. I'm kinda of hoping they make the auto an option for any future high HP model. Chevy did it with the ZL1 and I wish it was an option on the GT500.
I do enjoy rowing gears :) but the current "slush box" is sweet!
Yeah, and I think that guy did a big old "burn out" right before he ran. Some on here think that's just silly. :) And doesn't the Stingray have IRS? And it didn't break? How?:headbonk:
Sarcasm aside, the Mustang has a large drag racing contingency. Ford sells a very dedicated factory drag...
I like the new Stingray a lot. Best sports car bang for the buck with no apologies. Perfect as it sits. That said, i tend to like to mod things and the Mustang has always been a perfect canvas.
Looks like me and a few others called it. Line lock, burn-out control, how ever you say it, I WILL use it. A welcome little add on. I went through hoops you get it on my GT500 because of the ABS but its just a program away for the OEM (Ford).
Really, how may drag racers are on here? Count me as...
