Curious what everyone is using and how much you liked/dis-liked them.
I'd ideally like to find something that works as well/better than stock pads and dusts less.
Oh the irony. There used to be one in Salisbury (which was like 45 mins north of me in Charlotte) now the closest is in Shelby which is over an hour away lol.
Also - recommendations on intake manifolds?
I can't find any info on making the Cobra Jet work (seems like it's for 5.0s only? does it still bolt on? modifications required?)
FED I assume is only making Cobra Commander's one off one? Isn't on their website.
Plazmaman is $4250 (AUD, but that...
I'd probably do the .036 then... Just a bit, likely safe on 93 with a proper dyno tune.
I think if I had E85 near me then .030 would be the jam.
Sadly E85 is roughly 40-45 mins north of me and I don't want to be driving up there just to fill up the car (or even have cans in my truck to fill up)...
Have some more time to reply now...
Sounds like I'll upgrade the IM to something else instead of porting it (I didn't have knowledge of what else was out there besides stock and the one Cobra posted for his build in this thread).
Sounds like I can save cash on the TB then too.
Setup will...
Very curious on this thread as E85 isn't near me... And I'd like to do see if cams, thinner HGs, and ported stock TB/IM would get me in the 550-575whp ballpark (as that's where I'd like to be)
Obviously a way different IM you're using and the ported head work, but I'm assuming that if your...
I think that'd be fine. I'd ideally like 525-550whp (not from those mods, just in general), but that's close enough. I know I could get there on E85, but alas, it's not local.
I'd ask what aftermarket camshafts make (and maybe thinner HGs), but it seems like no one has done them.
Curious what I should see (ball-park, doesn't need to be so specific anyone gets into arguments) from the following modifications (or a '19 GT350R)...
Upgraded air filter
Ported stock TB
Ported stock IM
1 7/8 catless headers
L&M Camshafts
thinner HGs ( .036)
Tune for E85
Happy hear either an...
I bought a '19 GT350R... Will be picking it up in a couple weeks (need to drive to FL to pick it up and have plans the next two weekends)... Still didn't drive one but the price was good enough that I was ok purchasing with the intent to re-sell for the same price if I don't like it.
After...
Late comment but I find whomever made the comment "i thought OP was talking stock vs stock" when I talked about swapping springs, dsc controller, and having a cammed SS 1LE previously...
I am incapable of owning a stock car lol
I'd do the tune/headers/x-pipe likely either way.
Hoosiers might be a thing either way too.
Would probably do it with an R as well (and keep the stock parts for resale)
I think at this point I'm more interested in a 2019 MY than I am about R vs non-R
Also I'll add... We're getting off-topic here and additionally... I don't want a race-only car. I could just buy a Mustang/Camaro GT4 car if I did. I want to be able to drive on the street for fun
You can absolutely buy mods for a GT to make it out-perform a stock 350R.
You can call companies like griggs or maximum motorsports, or companies that specialize in RACING.
You also wouldn't buy a PP2, you'd buy the cheapest GT with the base options you HAVE to have (basically a shell with a...
I've gone to 4 different local dealers to drive a GT350, not even an R... Showed up with a 700+ hp Z06 and all of them are like "no we don't test drive those"
I ended up going to an Aston Martin/Alfa Romeo/Jaguar dealer who had a used 19+ ... They had no problem, but no twisty roads nearby.
I...
Honestly... Where in Florida?
HEP? Heritage pack? if so... no thanks - I don't want a car that is rare in any way that people will be weird about me tracking it/putting miles on it when I go to sell it. And I have a feeling people looking at HEP cars in a couple years will not be the type of...
