The x impeller just enables you to spin it more and it only matters with running a less than 100mm pulley at full tilt all the way at the top. The real issue is the capacity. The volute can only flow so much air at one time. What you'd get is a power curve that levels off earlier because it's...
Was it engineered to be boosted, no. Do they like boost, yes. Are they still reliable with boost, yes to a point 650ish is totally safe provided the tune is safe. Can they be pushed further and still be reliable, yes but they need fuel upgrades and a sensible driver.
No doubt I would be happy with the Recaros but dude I'm not spending almost what I did on a blower on seats lol. The only way I'd buy them is used or take offs from a wrecked car but that takes luck and constant searching. I'm not hoping for a miracle. I was hoping other people in this group...
Because I dont think it matters to the value. You won't get more money for the car even with Recaro seats. If I put in different seats I'd of course keep the old ones. It's not cheapening it to me it's modifying it with the ability to return to stock. The corbeau seats without a doubt will...
I've sat in the Recaros and really like the way they fit me. The price tag is a lot to swallow so are you guys running any aftermarket seats that you like? Idc about keeping the cooled and heated seats but I am worried about getting an airbag light from missing airbags in the seats. I don't...
You lose the venturi line. That's exactly what I said. Not a lot of people want to drill a hole into the top of theor pump and glue in a nipple to add a small straw. If you have to add something that is no longer there then yeah that thing has been lost.
Does the car seem to run fine like can you tell there is a misfire? Did you do the whole install? Are you positive the maf is facing the right direction? Is it possible you can send the bap to vortech for a test? That bap boosts voltage at all times but more so when you're wide open. Any things...
I ran it for close to 10 months above 850whp and a bap. Your other alternative would be a hellcat walbro 525 pump but you lose the venturi line and will run out of gas at 1/4 tank
Then I would assume you didnt even touch the fuel pump, fuel lines, and rails so that rules out pretty much everything but the bap. Injectors and sparkplugs wont cause a pressure drop unless the injectors were stuck open but the car would probably not even run. The knock is hard to diagnose...
Something is up with fuel delivery. Honestly you can usually get away without a bap below 650 whp on a gen 3. For the bap the only way I know of testing it is check your fuel pressure at idle. For me when I had the bap hooked up my pressure was almost 80psi and when I removed it it was around...
