2 MPG over a car that gets 23 MPG is not enough of a percentage increase?
MDS obviously does help, especially if you look at the MPG ratings of the 2014 R/T auto vs manual. There is no way that auto would be more efficient than the manual if the auto didn't have MDS.
I bet the SRT auto for...
That's a 2 mpg difference... Not sure why someone would expect for it to go into 4 cylinder mode often during city driving. I think it's mostly beneficial during Highway driving.
Those 5 speed autos were so behind the times and worse than 6 speed manual.
MDS obviously helps, I'm not sure how...
You're absolutely wrong! The mpg rating with MDS is NOT lower. If you're going to say it is, show proof. It's not that hard to find MPG for 2015 Challenger.. Or older ones.
How much money have you spent on all the extended warranties you have bought? I'm guessing more than what they have paid out. They may come in handy for people sometimes, but I never buy them. I remember years ago working at Best Buy. People used to spend 200 dollars on a warranty for a 600...
Probably because most cars don't have major failures like engine or transmission in the first 100k miles or 10 years. Also, only the first owner gets the 10 year warranty. Second owner gets 5 from the day of the original purchase. I'm sure they've run the numbers on the percentage of people that...
So you're proud of Ford for getting 1 extra mpg over an overweight Camaro with which is now an older engine? Lol.
2016 Camaro mpg will go up.. Wanna make a wager?
Same here.. Yet, we had people claiming 28 mpg Highway. I don't think Ford engineers are that ahead of the Corvette team to get mpg just about as great as a lighter and more aerodynamic car.
Is the Camaro worse? With auto It's rated same as 2015 Mustang with auto. I'm very confident that 2016 Camaro will at the very least match the Mustang rating. They will be within a mile or two though so it makes no difference to me either way.
I wouldn't be surprised to see the 2016 or 17...
It sure did drop in displacement and pick up turbos and it sure did used to have crappy gas mileage. I think those numbers are good for a PERFORMANCE twin turbo 6.
I'm not even sure what's being argued anymore. Lol. I think Mustang gas mileage is decent, I just find it funny that it went...
Not grouchy, just stating your list doesn't really mean anything. Element doesn't exist anymore. STI needs an udpate, that's for sure. It gets knocked for its gas mileage. Forester has been updated and gets much better mpg than what your 2006 shows. Not sure the Mazdaspeed 3 is made anymore...
So, he takes other cars that everyone knows didn't get good gas mileage which aren't even competitors to the Mustang and it's a good list? Okay..
So you're saying Ford lied about the mpg on the 2011-2014 Stang.. Okay. Surprised they didn't update it along with the Fusion and CMAX EPA ratings...
Stupid list. Everyone knows that Subaru vehicles have gotten crappy mileage up until 2010 or so. Ancient engines and transmissions. Thing is, they IMPROVED! Also, I can say for sure two of those cars don't have direct injection either.
2014 Forester XT - Rated at 22/28. - Not bad at all, and...
We're talking about EPA ratings. Nothing to do with your real world experience of taking it easy or beating on the car. Camaro will at the very least match 25.
I disagree with you about the mpg not being important. It's nice to get good mileage if you're not driving aggressively. I'm pleased to see another person say "I couldn't care less" though. Lol.
34-35 in my 2012 Legacy with a weak little 2.5l. Not the biggest or smallest car I have owned, but definitely the most fuel efficient. It is also the newest.. During the winter, I have seen right below 22 for this car with a lot of morning idling and short drives in cold weather.
No idea on...
