Had I designed the Mach1 I'd have given it either an NA version of the GT500's 5.2, or gone the BOSS302'S path and devised a more special 5.0, perhaps with a bit of a compression bump, the GT350 IM, GT500 intake box, 5.2 heads and Mach1 specific cams.
In either case much of it could still be...
I had a camera backup issue once but the dealer managed to fix it with a software update a few years ago and it's been fine since. I'm not sure if this is the same issue, or a 2nd one that I've just not had. Either way I still got the recall notice.
I say remove the carbon filter, get a more free flow air filter, pick a H or X pipe depending on sound preference as the power change between the two is a moot point, one usually makes more HP, other more TQ. If you want to go louder get some headers, then pick up a tune from a solid well-known...
Tunes in general on these cares are great for low end power. In my 6spd manual with the Steeda tune I can now go as like 1k and not lug at all if I'm in the right gear, and my daily commute went from a 20.5MPG average to almost 24. Not even talking about performance the simple daily drivability...
That car is VERY local to me, the original selling dealer is the closest Ford to me(is also Brenaman Ford now), and I've regularly gotten service at Garnet Ford, which is actually just down the road from the Jag/Land Rover dealer the cars at right now. I've purchased cars from both those Ford...
Going to be looking at this GT350 next week provided its still available then, looks to be H3502.
Seems clean, stock(aside from drilled rotors) and in nice shape but Carfax lists 4 owners, one having had maybe 8 months, and the next having only had it barely over a month.
Feels like there is...
Yeah, because dealers were told to push the Bronco and it's the new "cool" thing while the Escapes barely changed in 5years. Just like how Ford complained that the Focus and Fusion sales were starting to sag but they also were like 8yr old designs... of course they were sagging vs recently...
My car had that rev-match problem, it also put the car into a limp mode where it wouldn't rev past 2k or change any drive modes.
Issue was that it needed a new Clutch position Sensor.
They would have to give that a lot of options unless they want their only car to be like 100K.
Probably start with the 3.0T, then options for 5.0, and 5.2SC.
In every case it would likely need to retune the engines to be smoother/refined. Turn down the power a tiny bit. Could easily see it as...
I'd have liked a 2door coupe/convertible based on the last SHO to have been called Thunderbird. Kinda Mustang like but also much more GT than sports car. Kind of more Audi S5 coupe competitor. I also think that Thunderbird fits the Mach-e better than Mustang does.
If they brought back the Escort kept it the same size as a Civic, maybe a tiny bit smaller, gave it the Mavrick Hybrid drivetrain, and optional AWD I'd pick up one for a daily TOMORROW.
Heck could even give it the 2.0T and AWD for an Escort ST. It would be better than the Si, a solid GTI...
I don't personally think an EV version of the Charger was a bad idea, i think that not initially planning an ICE version was. I have a feeling that they kind of shot themselves in the foot as unlike Ford they had ZERO hybrid, fuel efficient i4, or other EV's already to offset the large amount of...
Because that's all there is to buy. US made all you have is Cadillac and Charger.
Ther is no more 20K vehicles left in the US. Fords cheapest entry is an SUV they are killing.
If you want AWD in a car? You have to buy a top end trim, luxury or Subaru... or this small SUV we have over here...
Dealers are pissed the Escape is gone as some dealers are saying the Escape is like 20% of their sales 2nd only to the F-150. People want smaller cheaper vehicles. Even Farley said that. Yet he's not producing ANY, while killing the only one he has.
Ah the new Mustang Dark Horse MEGABOSS Cobra.
Ford already has enough Mustangs that the average person can't afford, they don't need another one. What they need is to bring down EcoBoost and GT prices and give them a mid-cycle refresh to make the front less ugly.
We need a cheaper EcoBoost...
