I was honestly feeling it everywhere. Even up to my head in the seat. It wasnt uncontrollable, but pretty intense. Im going to get the car up on the jacks tonight and start inspecting the tires. From there will be taking them to Discount Tire to rebalance. Though I think the tires are done for...
Michelin makes that statement of 40 degrees but the key with that statement is to give them time to gradually come up to temperature before any form of stress or even bumps or pot holes. If they are gradually brought up to temp and are enabled to distribute the heat gradually, it's fine. The key...
Started in the morning it was 35 degrees, by afternoon it was 47. Spent the first session gradually bringing the tires up to temp. Car did excellent minus this vibration
Hi All,
Just had my first track day out on my new to me 19 350R. We had some good weather in WA, cold, but dry.
Was experiencing consistent vibrations at 115mph and up. I wouldn't call it violent since I could still keep it straight without fighting it, but wow. Not isolated to one area. Going...
I found something on the track mustang group that actually says this is ok. The only change that happens is that it increases positive caster, which is a positive. So I guess I'll send it :)
Great news everyone I have the ultimate solution....I went and double checked if in fact the original selling dealer put camber plates on the car...they did!!! I checked the driver side and this is what I found....no...no it can't be...@-#($)#
Yeah I was looking in there and say the recommended settings they had. Looked like the plates they make get there and at half the cost of the Vorshlags. I was looking at the price when I bought them for my GT and they were 545. Now over $700.
The ones I got for my GT go on the Track Handling pack from FP. They give -2.5. I didn't cut the towers so I can't totally max them out but only slightly so that they don't make contact. Pretty close to max.
My thought with getting the FP camber plates was if something breaks, like in the...
Hey All,
I was wondering about the Ford Performance camber plates. My R that I just got doesn't have any, and I'm planning to track the car 1-2 times a year.
I have the Vorshlag plates on my GT and they are great, easy up & adjust when I get to the track and when I leave.
I feel like if I use...
I decided to buy the pricey car cover from the Shelby store that showed up today. I will say for the price tag it is actually excellent. It's for interior only, definitely, but great material and fit, both on the outside and inside
Congratulations on hitting 70k! That's actually awesome to hear. And also great to hear warranty worked! I bought the Premium Ford coverage with my 19 and hoping it gets me that far down the road to with coverage as I keep extending it.
Im still new to the R I just got. Ive been driving my 2016...
I ordered the exact same street setup. The wheels were backordered though so I still got another couple weeks till they show up. Hoping the 20s give me that little bit of extra clearance to lower the stress of driving an R.
Yeah essentially. Its a tennis ball that I use the shadow to get the car in the sweet spot. My garage is pretty snug for wrenching so every inch counts! :)
Mine got delivered a couple weeks back, but she mainly sits in the garage until I get my new wheels to mount the PS4Ss on. I cant wait to drive it far too much :) Today it had it's software updated, because why not since its too wet to go outside.
ITS HERE!!! Its so good. I didnt even drive it more than half a mile around the neighborhood cause it was dumping rain and that whole cup 2 thing, but sooo much smiling. I love it
My main concern really is with regards to track days. If I have my partner or an instructor sitting shotgun it will be over, but I expect max would be 50lbs over. Seems safe but was still alarmed to read the limit
