  1. BMR CB006 -> CB007

    Thanks Kelly, I'll put it on and see how I go. The brace can always be modified later if needed. I'll report back when I've done the RHD Pacemaker headers (later in the year, so don't hold your breath).
  2. BMR CB006 -> CB007

    IF needed, can I turn my CB006 into a CB007 by cutting the extra bits off? I'm installing the CB005 (+ Steeda's shock mounts and subframe alignment) tomorrow and I'm unsure about installing the CB006 I have. LT headers are on my horizon and I understand they can foul. Is the issue with LT...
  3. Canned tune first then headers?

    I'd like to add headers (get rid of our awful RHD factory headers) and I know I'll need a tune to avoid CELs. I see that with any canned tune, they don't seem concerned about exhaust changes. I think I'm right that the tune turns off the exhaust sensor input; is this correct? So could I...
  4. Oil cooler failure - first hand experiences?

    Excellent letter Peter and I thank you for mentioning other Mustang owners are aware of the problem and equally concerned about it. It would be nice to have some clarification where we stand. Mine was built in Dec 2015 so definitely affected but I can imagine those with later builds are also...
  5. A tyre question -bigger ones!

    The 275mm width tyre is already quite wide for a 9.5" rim and certainly anything wider will be compromised in fit on the OE rim. So if you want 305 width no matter what sidewall ratio, you'll need a wider rim. I think the P zero fitted to our cars has been widely acknowledged as lacking grip...
  6. Oil cooler failure - first hand experiences?

    So how does a TSB (& what does TSB stand for?) differ from a recall? Should I demand the oil cooler be replaced next service or ASAP?
  7. Motor Magazine Mustang Stampede

    My dealer has organised a track day (Mallala SA) coming up in a few weeks. When I rang to RSVP they said something about having an inspection of the vehicle first. More details to follow. I'll be interested in how they conduct the inspection (i.e. is it more than regular CAMS scrutineering?) and...
  8. Motor Magazine Mustang Stampede

    Yes that's my understanding as well, going on the Motor article. Plus the Herrod machine apparently suffered bearing failure from oil surge. This might be worthwhile investment. I'm taking mine to the track in a few weeks although to be honest, I don't think mine will experience the same...
  9. Motor Magazine Mustang Stampede

    Yes you're right. According to Motor Mag the vehicle with the split oil cooler must have gone home on a truck. The other one David is referring to is the SFP II that was shut down immediately after blowing smoke a seemed fine afterwards. Another car from Harrop also blew smoke on a lap and...
  10. Motor Magazine Mustang Stampede

    Full article in Motor mag a good read. One concern for the Coyote is a couple cars suffering on the track. David, you were there, any comment on this? Oil starvation under lateral Gs. Left or right corner bias?
  11. What is your favorite mod

    BMR min drop SP089 and the rear SP082 springs. Been on a year and still very happy with stance and ride. CB005 and CB006 waiting to go on soon, but the springs have made such an improvement to the look of the car without it screaming modified.
  12. SA - Mintaro Cruise & Lunch 13/8/17

    Any chance cruise details could be outlined here? Not a user of Facebook. Thanks.
  13. Aussie Exhausts

    Great info Fred. You'll be retailing these headers and cats? I can't see anything on your site yet. Do you have any indicative pricing? I really like that these are 1 3/4". Always thought 1 7/8" overkill for those that want to stay NA.
  14. Aussie Exhausts

    This is very interesting as I would have thought the repositioning of the cats would have triggered error codes for sure. Also interesting that the ECU is able to make the use of the improved flow and make more power without a tune. I assume you mean the car is still standard in this regard and...
  15. Tuning gurus please.

    Thanks for the thread Burkey, I'm trying to better understand how the ECU in our cars work and would be most grateful if anyone could enlighten me. Does the ECU work in closed loop at all times? If not when does it go to open loop? If the ECU can adjust timing etc to achieve MBT, once you...
  16. Oversteer; stiffer front sway bar?

    I am so surprised by this, as I've said mine turns in really well. Even up the hillclimb where there are some seriously tight corners. All our Oz spec cars have the PP wheels with Zeros. I guess that's a 'summer' tyre. Also Oz spec don't have Torsen diff despite most of the other PP gear...
  17. Well... I just had to do it.

    The two colour look great together. Hmmm, maybe silver stripes for your grabber blue? Grabber blue stripes on the silver car would look good too. His and Hers, would look trick driving down the road together!
  18. Oversteer; stiffer front sway bar?

    I agree, the oversteer is only power induced, and I wonder if the stock Pirelli tyres have a big influence here. I've always found the rear easy to catch, the car is great fun from that perspective. You just can't power out of a corner too early I guess. I 've been very impressed with the...
  19. Oversteer; stiffer front sway bar?

    In standard spec, the Mustang is easily provoked into oversteer; should Ford have had a stiffer front bar (or even less stiff rear)? My car just has the excellent BMR SP089/82 spring combo but is other wise standard. I'm soon to add the CB005 and CB007 which I don't anticipate will effect...
  20. Anyone have LTs with Magnaflow Tru-X Resonated X pipe?

    Thanks to Volstang for asking the question and to GTBOB for the feedback. I'm especially interested to see GTBOB you've retained the stock mufflers as I have similar thoughts. I'd like the improved flow of LT headers (you should see how bad our RHD headers are to accommodate the right hand...
