It's seems to me the ideal drop is about this 20mm and then Steeda has done the roll centre correction designed around this drop.
I haven't got the complexities (and niceties) of MagnaRide - mine being an analogue 2015 model, so I think you're wise to get the Ford developed kit. Just worth...
Like you, my car is lowered by about 20mm and I'm convinced the car feels so much more composed mid corner since raising the roll centre via the lateral links with raised ball joints + bump steer correction (which needs to be done once you've done the former).
My understanding is that these...
I'm the opposite, I prefer this to the over-styled Supra with unresolved curves everywhere.
Just shame the Nissan is not an inline six...
Won't get me out of the Mustang 'tho!
I'll be very interested in what you think after these changes. I had this done (not the tension links 'tho - just control arms with extended ball joints and bump steer) about two weeks ago and the car feels 200kg lighter.
I looked at Lund and other US options but in the end had it locally tuned when I put the headers on.
Rightly or wrongly, I got worried about a canned tune when they became very vague regarding a question of our high sulphur fuels.
Very happy with the local result. Sorry this hasn't answered...
Update after some hill driving on the weekend. The car definitely feels lighter, more agile. I'm less busy mid-corner and feel like I have more options if I need to adjust my line half way through the turn. I think I'm really feeling the benefits of all the mods combined, especially the RLCA...
Ha! Yes sorry to resurrect such an old thread but I saw one of our SA members was after a solution and I realised all my photos from this thread had been trashed by Photobucket (remember them?). So I've reattached all the images.
Because the extinguisher is tucked away under the seat so well I...
Had the Steeda lateral link with raised ball joint + bumpsteer correction installed. Note the gap (above blue ring) that is the roll centre correction that compensates for the lowering springs. Alignment done too of course.
Looking forward to driving the car more to judge the real difference...
I've been running 1&3/4" headers (RHD Pacemaker mild steel ceramic coated) with high flow 100 cell cats and 3" mid pipes (H design with separate resonators) into the standard 2016 rear mufflers.
It's taken about 500km to settle in. Very noticeable increase in mid-range torque (with the tune as...
The stock cats are physically quite big, I doubt they'd fit under your car after the long tubes. Stock, they're tucked up into the start of the transmission tunnel behind the stock short tubes.
Wouldn't quite be dragging on the ground after long tubes but I'm sure speed bumps would catch them.
