  1. Lemon Law Thread: How many have or are filing Lemon Law for their S550?

Thanks for the information. I'll call them tomorrow for the Regional CSR. Question: Do you know if the 30-day rule only counts business days, or is it just days in general? Also, I did not know about the payment reimbursement for the month! Will they put up a fight for this or is this standard...
  2. Lemon Law Thread: How many have or are filing Lemon Law for their S550?

So my car has been at the dealership shop for 31 days as of today. Roughly 2.5 weeks ago, they informed me it was the cam-shaft phasers possibly needing replacing or the solenoids and they really haven't done much since. They just keep extending my rental which I appreciate, but I'm beginning to...
  3. Engine Light - 8,000 Miles

UPDATE: Rental was extended over the weekend yet again. Today makes 31 days the vehicle has been in their shop. I'm possibly going to post in the other thread about lemon law options as Nevada does have a 30-day policy, but states it does not count days in which may have been out of the...
  4. Engine Light - 8,000 Miles

UPDATE: Rental was extended. They are saying this past week has been slow in receiving parts due to COVID-19. So I’m hoping I can get my car sometime this week. Today is 23 days that they’ve had my vehicle.
  5. Engine Light - 8,000 Miles

UPDATE: Not really an update, but wanted to notate this. Service assistance informed me they are still waiting for the parts as of today. My rental was extended until March 21st. Today is 17 days my vehicle has been out of commission.
  6. Engine Light - 8,000 Miles

Very true. I need to get one. I live right next to an Auto Zone and always had them take a quick look, but no excuse to not have one. And I agree with showing in person. Unfortunately I work 60 hours per week and it’s difficult finding time. The service assistance has increased their...
  7. Engine Light - 8,000 Miles

UPDATE: Received text from service advisor. They stated the noise they are hearing is common in F150’s, but not in Mustangs. They had to call Ford Engineers to talk with them about what they were hearing. They said they are going to start with replacing the phasers. They said if the noise...
  8. Engine Light - 8,000 Miles

UPDATE: Got a call from service assistant today. She states the mechanics are looking into the engine further and have replicated the noise I identified. They think it may be timing chain in addition to something else.
  9. Engine Light - 8,000 Miles

These aren’t “minor” or “normal” things. They would bother ANYONE else on a brand new vehicle. Service technician has replicated the sounds and it’s not just the typical engine ticks and rattles everyone on here writes about. The car has been in service for 10 days. Got a call today and they are...
  10. Engine Light - 8,000 Miles

Thanks for the assistance! Fortunately, they called today. But I will definitely keep this in mind. Still no diagnosis, but they have replicated it and are still trying to figure it out.
  11. Engine Light - 8,000 Miles

Update: Car has been at the dealership since early morning of February 29th. Got a voice-mail March 3rd staying that the engine light was due to code P0316 (cylinder misfire), which they say is due to TSB in which the PCM needed an update. They stated my knock/ticking is possibly due to the...
  12. Lemon Law Thread: How many have or are filing Lemon Law for their S550?

I’m not sure if I will be needing to utilize this thread soon (I hope I don’t). My car (2018 GT Base Model) has been at the dealership service department for approximately 9 days. It has three issues which I’ve posted in other threads about (ticking/knocking between 1250-1750 RPMs, engine...
  13. sound after revving

Wow, finally someone is experiencing the same thing. I thought it was possibly something to do with the accelerator, exhaust or clutch release bearings. Does it stop after the car is up to temp? Because mine does.
  14. New 2018 Mustang GT whine sound

Mine sounds the same. Always questioned it, but it seems most people say it’s normal. Although my vehicle is at the Ford Service Center for the check engine light being on. But I don’t think it’s related to this.
  15. Engine Light - 8,000 Miles

2018 GT - Purchased New in August 2019 I dropped off the vehicle today at the dealership, but unfortunately the engine specialist isn’t there until Monday. Vehicle is at 8,000 miles. I started having issues with the “BBQ Tick” at 4,000 miles after my first oil change. After the dealership told...
  16. (Video) Rod Knock/Piston Slap And Clinking Noise Near Shifter (‘18 GT)

I have the BBQ tick, but this isn’t it. It’s a knock to where I feel a vibration.
  17. (Video) Rod Knock/Piston Slap And Clinking Noise Near Shifter (‘18 GT)

Here’s a 45 second video I have for some of my issues so far. It first shows the clinking noise near the shifter and then shows a rod knock/piston slap noise typically at around 1500 RPMs when idle or driving in parking lots: Going to take it to a dealer Friday if they have availability. I...
  18. Possible Transmission Issue At 4,000 Miles...Extremely Discouraged

Once again, thanks for the feedback everyone. I took it to the dealership today and they did state it was the BBQ ticking noise. My concern now, however, is I’m hearing a slight grind when releasing the accelerator when car is cold. The ticking also gets more intense when accelerating. All of...
  19. Possible Transmission Issue At 4,000 Miles...Extremely Discouraged

I have heard the noise again with the cold start in the morning and then it goes away within minutes. I’m not concerned with the ticking, but I do hear a light clicking when coming off the gas when it’s cold. Then it goes away within minutes.
  20. Possible Transmission Issue At 4,000 Miles...Extremely Discouraged

Thanks for the feedback guys. I took it to the dealer today, but of course today, everything worked like a dream. I took it for an oil change and no noises all day. I scheduled a service appointment three weeks from now so they can keep the car all day and see what’s going on with that noise...
