They will be first to go. I have only liability insurance on my 1988 BMW because there is no point in paying more for ~2500 blue book coverage. Right now I pay ~80/month for that. Can't be a good deal. I will try Progressive & Geico. My coworker got an '03 Cobra when it came out (he was my...
How much of this can I do without making a bunch of hard-pulls to my acct. Since I just got my first credit card last year when I started my job, I have a weaker score (664 transunion, 719 vantage (combined)). Since I have low balances and have been paying on time, my score will likely be a...
Yea the insurance rate is going to be brutal. My coworker got an '03 terminator in a similar situation as mine when it came out, and he said to just look far and wide for a good rate as he was able to find one. Just for fun I contacted my current insurance, Farmers, and they quoted me at $440...
Thanks for looking out for me! I most definitely have matching 401k maxed out, and have been thinking about the car for over a year. Probably not looking to buy a house for a while. It's not a question of whether I want it enough, it's if I can get a loan that is within budget (i.e. no 20%...
Well I am worried because I have only 1 yr of credit history. Also, after doing more research, I think I misrepresented myself. Depending on what score you look at, I have a 664 TransUnion, and 719 Vantage (combined) score. I'm OK with an APR up to 10% since I am a first time buyer, provided...
1) Yes
2) Good question. Just about any car payment, and rent for that matter would screw me if I lost my job. That's probably my single biggest reservation. I have been doing well though in the professional world, got a 2yr promotion in my first six months. I think my job is fairly stable...
Argh. I really do like the 2014, I test drove one in January. But even my dad, who trust me echoes everyone who is telling me to patient said a 2014 would be a mistake, and that if I do it, the 2015 would be the clear choice. I'm on this site because I'm excited about the new technology...
Cool, thanks for the info :o I was thinking of moving to South SJ or Santa Clara. Thankfully I live with my girlfriend who's going to Santa Clara Law in the fall. I need a place close to the university.
True. I certainly don't want to end up ball-and-chained to a Mustang lol. I will be moving to the suburbs soon and should have a more reasonable housing situation. They charge an arm and a leg for new apartments near the companies. I had a week to find a place to live while I was in Hawaii...
Perfect person to respond to this thread, thanks. The credit score is 720 as stated above (not good, I know). Based upon your list I'd say I meet all those minimums, however, what are items 1, 6, and 7. I had planned on making a 25% down payment which would hopefully look good to a lender...
That's crazy. I contacted Frontier Ford in Santa Clara and they told me I could order a car today, and that there would be a $500 refundable deposit required.
Hi everyone,
I was going to see if I could get some advice regarding financing a 2015 GT. I graduated college last year and got very lucky landing pretty much my dream job. I am working as a software engineer in the Silicon Valley for a major semiconductor company and have a respectable...
Lol. The sound symposer that BMW and others use playback through the car's stereo currently. No way that sounds as good as the real thing to those with full hearing. Also if they tried to get close it would get expensive and complicated, seems really unnecessary.
Or how about a program that just allows you to delete this info at will any time with a provided PIN / Password. It could have a feature to automatically delete this info in the event of a crash. Good idea!
