  2. Whipple gen5 91 octane

I live here in AZ as well and run a Lund 91 Octane tune with the same blower. No issues so far (installed the Whipple in November). I run the standard 3.875" pulley on on pump gas, and I've had it to the track multiple times on that tune and it makes great power.
  3. 6R80 1-2 Shift Issues Post Whipple Install?

Not really. Lund lowered the 1-2 shift command to 5,000rpms (despite the fact I told them something in the 6,000rpm range was what I wanted), and now it shifts at 6,600rpms. They made another change and it still shifts at 6,600rpms. I sent them that data log and I now have rev 9 of the tune...
  4. Torque convertors

I run a Circle D 245mm converter that stalls at about 4,000rpms (I think it's a 5C). When the car was naturally aspirated it would 60ft in the 1.8x range, and after the converter was installed it went down to 1.6x. With the Whipple it's now down in the 1.45-1.49 range.
  5. 6R80 1-2 Shift Issues Post Whipple Install?

I've got to say, I'm hugely disappointed with Lund - Even though the brand new PBH trans and brand new Circle D converter do EXACYLY the same thing on the 1-2 shift as it did with the OEM trans and 1 year old Circle D converter, they still want to blame the transmission. I can't fathom how they...
  6. 6R80 1-2 Shift Issues Post Whipple Install?

Nope, it dead hooks and doesn't spin anywhere in the run. I don't pull the fuse, and instead hold the traction control switch for 5 seconds until the disable light comes on. The tune asks for it to shift at 7,500rpm, and the 2-3 and 3-4 shifts are great.
  7. 6R80 1-2 Shift Issues Post Whipple Install?

My setup is in my signature. After the Whipple install I went to the track and on the 1-2 shift the car falls on its face hard and flares to 8,200rpms. Lund told me the clutches in the trans were bad, so I just had a new PBH (rated to 1,000HP) trans installed, and a different Circle D...
  8. Whipple Gen 5 pulley size for 91octane

I have a 2015 with the stage 2 3.0 tuned by Lund - On the crappy 91 octane available here in AZ, I'm running the 3.875" pulley and in Vegas a few weeks ago it went 10.51 at 132mph; no octane booster used. I'm guessing it will be a couple of tenths quicker here in AZ with a bit more mph as we're...
  9. The whipple wait

Yep, straight 91 octane from the pump with no booster. Lund created the tune specifically for that condition as that's the best fuel we have in AZ, and they reviewed multiple full run datalogs without any concern.
  10. The whipple wait

What kind of results are you guys seeing at the track with your Whipple? I had mine installed (after waiting 16 weeks) and took it to SCSN in Vegas 2 weeks ago - It went a best of 10.51 at 132mph with a 1.49 60ft time. I have 3.55 gears, Circle D converter, catted long tubes with full 3"...
  11. The whipple wait

Yeah, I could probably handle it with a bit of help, but the OPG/CS adds some complexity I don't want to deal with, nor do I have the time as I travel a lot. Oh well, I've waited this long so a few more months won't kill me, and it should be done before I take it to Vegas for SCSN.
  12. The whipple wait

Beefcake sent me a shipping notice today for the Whipple - It should show up tomorrow, and I ordered it on 4/29, so that's 16 weeks lead time. And of course my mechanic isn't available until November to install it, so the wait continues for me...
  13. The whipple wait

I ordered my Whipple on 4/29 and contacted Beefcake today as it's now been 12 weeks. They talked to Whipple and mine is shipping in 3 weeks. On a side note, what size pulley comes with the blower?
  14. The whipple wait

Well, I ordered my stage 2 from Beefcake on 4/29 with the 132 TB and oversized heat exchanger, so I guess I'll be waiting for at least another 5 months. Given the lead times are increasing I'm worried now as I intend to take the car to Vegas to run SCSN which is mid-November. It would be nice...
  15. Arizona WTB: Loaded Differential Housing 3.55 or 3.73

Well damn I just ordered one, but thanks.
  16. Arizona Sold: WTB: Loaded Differential Housing 3.55 or 3.73

I found one, thanks all. I have a 2015 GT Automatic, so I have 3.15 gears and want to upgrade to 3.73 - I'd like to pick up a take out loaded differential housing in perfect working condition with 3.73 or 3.55 gears. I would consider trading my 3.15 differential for it, but it's not a...
  17. California Ford Racing Torsen Diff

The link you embedded goes to Vivid, but it doesn't show anything, and it doesn't appear they carry it anymore. Do you have more details? What's the gear ratio?
  18. Need Help - Burnout/Launch 2015 GT Auto

Thanks for the info. I've been foot braking the burnout, but will use the line lock next time I take it out; but, given the fact I'm not fighting traction issues I may just run my new PP tires/wheels at the track until I get more power, and just skip the burnout entirely.
  19. Need Help - Burnout/Launch 2015 GT Auto

I realize the car won't leave like my Fairmont did, but I don't think my expectations are unrealistic for it to 60ft better than 2.1... Does anyone here have personal experience with a similar setup they can share?
  20. Need Help - Burnout/Launch 2015 GT Auto

Okay, I've read a lot of threads and thought I had it figured out, but apparently not. I made a couple of baseline passes a month ago with the 235 Pirelli's and traction control on - That yielded a 13.32 at 108mph with a 2.1 60' time. I'm in AZ so it's hot as hell, hence the numbers. I picked...
