I wasn’t looking for a vote. I’m wondering if either the Edelbroc or Whipple will allow you to blip the throttle and spin the tires a revolution or two and the car only moves less than a foot while stopped. You know like I described the corvette doing.
Since you guys are talking low end torque. Here’s what I want. I was next to a corvette the other day sitting at a redlight. He could blip his throttle and make the wheels spin just a revolution or two. I’m procharged, and in my GT and can spin the tires pretty good whenever I want, but...
I remember back when Whipple was first getting going on the S550
They were having guys datalog and sending revisions to get their tunes dialed
I and to help make a global tune for all the customers. The one guy I’m thinking about on here that was involved finally ended up going with either PBD...
I think the manufacturer's can play off of this. The way I see them doing it is, they write a tune that gets their shop car passing and submit it to CARB for approval. They then take that same tune and sell it with their kits knowing that some of the customers cars will not all react and...
I wouldn’t count on the VMP tuning to be any better that the other manufacturers tunes that come on the kits out there. Seems to me that when a company sells the hardware that’s where the attention is focused, meaning making money selling the kits and making the tune just good enough so new...
Do you have to pass emissions. Some tuners can make the car pass and some cannot depending on your mod plan. Sorry I don’t know of any NY tuners, more just a general statement for you to be aware of.
Just some thoughts for the guys who say leave the guy alone ore just ignore him if he bothers you. Well, since this guy decided he wanted to be a YouTube celebrity, he loses all privacy rights with that decision, so everything he does is fair game for critics. What a tool.
Man, I’d kill for real 93, I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone that actually used the stuff or seen it first hand, but sounds wonderful. Sounds like you are keeping tabs on the things actual users have said about the canned tunes. Don’t forget what you’ve been picking up and get suckered into...
He’s full of shit. See if he’ll put his money where his mouth is and bet you the cost of a kit. I guarantee ordering a stage 1 EB or ProCharger kit won’t give 675WHP on 91 pump gas. Vendors are very clever in saying things to mislead people into spending money.
I could care less what some reality tv wannabe does to get ratings. Probably would get more ratings if he ran one of his fellow YouTube personalities over.
No clue on the EB tuning, but sums up my experience with other manufacturer’s canned tunes. If it’s like my past experience, their canned response will end up being “we have lots of other customers that don’t experience this, must be an install error or something else is wrong with the car”, lol.
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry with all the expected satisfaction with a “warranty tune”.. Go look at any old thread from any brand of blower and find anyone who said they were satisfied with a manufacturers tune. Then look for recent postings from same users. I doubt you will find...
Great write up! It’s been on my mind as something that needed some attention. Looks like I have some parts to order. Thanks for sharing your results!
