I had this issue with my BMW 335i (Twin turbo direct injection motor). I had the valves walnut shell blasted at 80k miles and kept on going. Not a deal breaker, just add it to your PM list. It was a $350 job on the BMW but access was easy, not sure how hard it would be to perform a similar...
Looking for recomendations on studs and hub-centric spacers to try and flush out my PP wheels. I'm not looking for advice on safety as I've ran spacers in various cars for the last 25 years and never had any issues (when used correctly spacers are safe). I'm looking for a place to buy a decent...
Do you have the premium 68B upgrade? I have Redline Recaros with black door panels. I was surprised when I didn't get the red inserts. I have a 401a car with 68B in addition to the Redline Recaro option. I wonder if that's the difference...
The front bar wasn't too bad to do but it would be much easier if you have a helper when you try to maneuver it out through the driver side wheel well. I was able to do it alone but an extra set of hands would've been nice. I suggest doing it at the same time as your springs since you'll have to...
I have the Steeda sway bars, I installed them at the same time as the Steeda springs. I couldn't be happier. Front sway bar was set to the middle stiffness setting and rear is set to full stiff. I haven't tracked it or really pushed the car much but I will say the car stays nice and flat when...
I call it a bad financial investment, my kids call it Bolt. But regardless of the name, she's still a beast and I enjoy driving her! (A responsible car would've been a 4-door mid level civic for my daily 100 mile commute, but if I'm spending 2hrs a day in my car, im going to enjoy it!)
It's the larger wheel opening in the front that makes it look that way. I thought the rear was sagging on my car as well but after measuring I validated that it was indeed level. After installing the Steeda springs the rear is now 1/4" higher than the front but looks level.
I did the front by myself in my driveway using jackstands , it can be a one man job. But I agree, if you're considering sway bars, do it while the struts are out. It makes it so much easier and will save you the trouble of having to pull out the driver side strut if you decide to do it later.
Lowered mine with the steeda springs and aligned it yesterday after driving it for over a week. Everything was still in spec except for the toe up front. Drivers side was off more than the passenger side. It's good to go now.
I haven't really pushed the car much yet, but so far I'm extremely happy. The springs ride as smooth as the factory PP springs so I don't get beat up on my commute, yet the car stays flat when cornering. I don't think I can ask for anything more at this point. I think the tires are the...
The Steeda springs and sway bars have been on for a week now so I went ahead and had it aligned today. Just waiting for the 500 mile mark so I can change the oil and start opening her up.
The slits are there, I have 2 booster seats that are currently anchored through them. I would also like to mention that I have the Recaro seats up front and they do return to their previously reclined position if you fold them using the lever in the back of the seat located in the middle near...
Just welded in some generic Borla S-Type 2.5" mufflers to the Factory exhaust. Suitcase is still in place. I've only driven the car 10 miles, but I did get in the freeway and listened to it in all gears. No drone anywhere, I'm quite pleased with it but I'm thinking I might go a little louder in...
