Back in the day, I ordered a CD for the the '13 GT I traded on the 500. It was as good as the original paper manuals for my old Lincolns. Not as easy as flipping through the pages, but info was all there. Going to put in an order for the 500 and the MKS.

Totally stock. I decided this was the one that I wouldn't mess with (engine power wise).

In 2100 mi. I have about a 1/16 of an inch drop on the dipstick. I just emptied the JLT catch can and got 30cc after 1500 mi. I'm a firm believer in easy break-ins, but my results may have nothing to do with it.

Here's one solution: The inspection camera has a tiny mirror attachment, set at 45 deg. on the tip. It gave me a slightly out of focus image, but was good enough to see that the plunger was extended. These cameras are $75 at Harbor Freight, and can be found for under $50 at discount outlets...

If you guys had Kona Blue, you would have never noticed it. :wink: Matte black would make it less noticeable, but I think once it has "bugged" you, you'll have a hard time not seeing it.

I have one on each side that look like yours, but they go through. I tend to agree that they look like the cracks were there before the paint was applied. The paint seems to taper into the crack, (does not have a sharp edge).

Look carefully at the back side, I bet the crack goes all the way through the lip. What is the straight hairline mark on the part of the brace that is against the hood? Is that an extension of the crack around the radius of the brace or just a mark?

Steeda makes an IRS brace and if I recall correctly it mounts to the rear mounting point for jacking rails. For this reason there are short and long Steeda jacking rails. (The rear of the short rail mounts at a different point.) Just make sure the one you buy is the length you want in any brand.
