I need to get a set of jacking rails for my 500. Unfortunately I’m still crawling around on the floor to get under my gt500. I can’t wait to move to a home with a taller garage.

This will turn into an "I got this one" thread.

You really can't go wrong with ANY brand, just do your research as to which one will do the trick alongside existing (or future) mods. Example, you can't use [enter name here] with Steeda subframe braces, etc...

That said, I am a Steeda fan, and always look there first.

Steeda makes an IRS brace and if I recall correctly it mounts to the rear mounting point for jacking rails. For this reason there are short and long Steeda jacking rails. (The rear of the short rail mounts at a different point.)
Just make sure the one you buy is the length you want in any brand.

Both versions are the same length. One is thicker than the other. I have one of each. There is still room for the IRS brace if you need one. I didn’t buy that piece.

Does the Steeda rail go all the way back to the rear pinch weld jack notch? I recall seeing posted photos (before my car arrived in 5/20) that looked like it did not. That made me think there was a lot or car hanging behind the rear of the Steeda rail. I haven't shopped for a set either, just remember thinking it looked odd.

Look at the 1:40 point of the video here:

You can see the rails leave room at the back for the IRS brace.
With the CG so far forward (near the door mirror), no need to have jacking rails any further back.
I believe the BMR rails are the same.

That video is what I saw. I somehow got the idea they made a long set. Sorry.

I will provide an alternative to the steeda / BMR suggestions - make your own ... ?

Make them the length you want, out of whatever material you want, with basic (cheap) tools and a reduced cost (based on prices we pay over here in the U.K.).

For my own reasons, I picked stainless, extended them a little at the front, made them fit the Steeda IRS braces at the back, went with 3mm wall (like the old steeda’s) and 30mm section so they are a little lower than the pinch weld rather than level with it.

Other than some basic hand tools, you need nothing more than 16mm and 30mm bi metal hole saws and access to a bench drill :

Back of the rail, first mount for the IRS brace :

IMPRESSIVE, WD and gorgeous, (not that you ever get to see them..<smile>). My time is worth more than Steeda's pricing but theirs certainly aren't as cool as yours. :-) Nice job.

I purchased the steeda and some time later I discovered the Kenny Brown jacking rails their rails are angled like the bottom of the mustang so when you bolt the rails on they are flat.

Hard to see but the bottom of my rail are not flat. Here is a link to the KB jacking rails.

https://kennybrown.com/collections/s550-parts/products/jacking-rails-2015-2021-mustang-and-shelby

So it seems like it doesn’t really matter. Those KB seem nice, I can appreciate the extra effort that went into making them parallel with the ground. I’m probability leaning this way, level is best if I’m jacking the car up.

were the steeds and KB rails the same length?

I had Steeda on my 350. Likely will put them on the 500.
