Ford says the PP transmissions are noisier than the non-PP. They not only thud but they make a whining noise when shifting. The whine in mine is extremely loud and annoying.
I didn't mean anything negative with my comment and apologize if it came out that way. I was mainly referring to daily driving which most of us do. Please accept my apology.
I do not care for rev match, especially when casually cruising around town shifting 1-3-5. You have to wait for the revs to come down. I see its purpose for harder driving but even for that it's not really necessary if you know how to drive a stick properly.
My guess is they sold it to someone else at a higher profit, or an executive or friend of the owner wanted it. Sue the shit out of them and your car may appear after all. Don't take back the deposit until you decide what you're going to do.
Just tell them it makes more HP and Torque than the V8's of just a few years ago, including their GM's. Then ask them if they want to race on a track title for title. That should shut them up.
The funny thing is the stick shift in my porsche never bothered me. Maybe because it was 1,000 lbs lighter and mid-engine. Not sure why, but American Muscle cars are more tiring to drive stick shifts. This Mustang is way more fun generally speaking though.
Hmm, it has more torque and hp than a GT with a the 302, and mine will light up the track in 1st. It sure sounds like 2nd gear to me but I could be wrong.
