The Camaro could beat the V by using lighter seats/covers and less electronics and more plastic. I don't think it's going to, but it could.
The part that would really be hard to get over is the fact, Camaro is wider and wider adds volume which adds weight. Isn't it also longer? I'm not...
I get that we don't all get along, but "English please," is way overboard in my view. Clearly, you can read his words. Clearly you don't like them. Clearly, they're written in English and frankly, he's doing better than many others we see on the web, like it or not.
He may have too much time in...
It doesn't seem very likely. It's probably going to be close though.
One thing: Since GM announced "at least 200 lb less" weight... many Camaro fans are insistent it will be a < 3,600 lb V8 car and it simply won't. Some still suggest 3,300ish... not a chance of that, but I don't see any V8...
The fact remains, F1 uses a specific type and that reason isn't because it's inferior to any other type. That reason is because it is superior.
5,500 isn't really considered exclusive anymore than it ever was... and it never was. It's limited, but not exclusive.
They will indeed sell them all...
There are some here who clearly think the manual is all that should be offered in GT350 simply because autos are no fun or because they dislike manuals for whatever reason. That's not what the OP was about. It's about the merits, not just the fun factor. If you think I'm arguing against a...
I'm not arguing that point!
Automatic being the key word... with manual mode. For the record, that switch is a pain to use! :ford:
I would not be shocked to learn that the DCT in the GT weighs less than the 6M in Mustang, not to mention the GT350's... Tremec TR3160 and...
See my initial post and post 52 and I think it will be clear, I'm hardly confused.
F1 transmissions are not far more manual than auto... that's just an absurd thought on its face. They are automatically controlled. If it has no clutch pedal, it's not a manual. Grimace covered this correctly...
Okay...
I'd not have thought of an airbag or not, to be honest. It just doesn't come to mind and I'd not want them in a performance consideration.
Do you think they really weigh close to or over 80 lb each? I don't.
Of course they could... they do and it's in the GT.
The fact, is that no sports car manual transmission on planet earth is as capable as the best automatic transmissions available today. Is that spelled out small enough for ya?
Automatics... ARE... better. The fact you think they suck isn't...
Bose® premium surround sound 10-speaker audio system (ATS-V Sedan)/12-speaker audio system (ATS-V Coupe)
Cadillac CUE®1 with Navigation2
Kinda weird and even a bit funny that the coupe gets more speakers, but that's from Cadillac, so I have to believe it.
Well if it was such a poor chassis under the Camaro, why does it so easily beat up on the Monaro, GTO, etc? Fact is, that "poor 1LE" was very well done and it's only real problem is the weight, like every other 5th gen.
This was never actually about the ATS-V, so why stay focused on it now?
I'm...
It isn't only the tires, but they have a massive role in that cars upgraded handling.
Didn't the same magazine say the 2015 Mustang GT chassis was in perfect harmony? Eh... they test plenty of cars and have several approaches to what's good and bad. More often than not, they "decide" things...
That's basically the reality... in actual racing as opposed to testing or sitting on the bench, the Mustang is simply beating the Camaro.
Anyone can run 30 laps including cool downs and tire changes and fuel changes and tuning, etc. Those ET's should prove very good, particularly for the car...
There's so much misinformation on this subject, it makes my head hurt. Ford had a problem... the same problem GM had then, but most people simply do not know that GM's had the same problem because Fords are so commonly discussed. GM lost a very high dollar lawsuit over the same issue in...
Tires, like suspension and engine, can matter more than brakes too, actually. Many times, drivers have "saved the brakes" and won... how often did a driver win on flat tires? Seems to me, you're putting WAY too much stock in just the brakes of the Camaro. Bigger isn't always better. W/O the...
After this response, I'll leave it alone, but I think a few may have misinterpreted my stance. This isn't personal to me, though I have a personal opinion.
I've got nothing against the joy of it... I drove manuals for the better part of 2 million(yeah, million) miles. At some point, it's not...
 What has my Escape got to do with it? Of course it's different... it's 5 times more versatile than a Mustang, for example. My 2014 F150 MSRP was well over 46k ... so? Both are quite different than any Mustang. So? Pssst... don't judge a book by its cover, or an auto enthusiast by their DD...
Look(in America) how many manufacturers offer manuals and in how many models. They're rare anymore. That said, I think a manual car will be available for the foreseeable future.
Autos are better, period. I base that comment on what each can do and today, an auto can be used exactly as if it's a...
Aside from the general topic here... your comment is rather funny concerning Cam5 ... they don't have what? Have you looked? Those guys trash the Mustang and basically every other Ford model ever produced, as a rule, not an exception. See anyone defending the Mustang there? Uh huh... till it's...
In a word, weight. Of course, cost plays in just as much, but they'll more easily claim an intent to save weight. I was thinking I've seen some pictures showing so much lighting up front, it had fogs integrated into the lights under the headlights. It's odd, as I've seen half clear and half...
