Ever since I got my headers installed I have people asking to rev it so I do sometimes. But I had someone tell me it's bad for the engine. So is bad to rev while in neutral or parked? And I'm not revving to redline.
I say do it, along as all your money Is not going towards your car. Your lucky you have parents like that and if they are okay with it, than I say it's fine. Along you take advantage of this situation and save money while having the car.
Yeah the passenger took forever compared too the driver side. I had the driver side out in an hour. I didn't want to pay the 500 I was quoted so I did it myself. This takes a lot of patience. If you are okay spending more than 30 min on trying to get one bolt off then you should be good :frusty:
Just installed mine yesterday. I will never do this again, this install sucked. I'll pay somebody next time. It does sound awesome though. Now to start the healing process, My arms and hands a chewed up.

Yeah you can do an h-pipe or a catback without a tune. mods like headers, CAI, Manifold upgrade you do need a tune. I say go with the tuner first and update the tune when you buy some more mods. Lund, BAMA, and livernois seem to be popular. I went with Lund but Haven't tried the tune on my car...
Well i am a little intimidated in installing mine. I do plan on doing the install myself. IM sure others who have installed them can weigh in but heres a video of cjponyparts installing headers on a s550
