On my Evo Ix I put a small Dynomax bullet muffler where the cat was in the stock setup. That combined with the muffler on my 3" setup was enough to allow plenty of flow and a quiet exhaust.
What made me nervous about the BMW shields is that indent near the bottom mounting point. On the Mustang heat shields that section goes straight across so there may be interference with the actuator there with the BMW shields.
They look easy enough to modify though to make work.
There are pictures of the heat shield on the first post, it's the piece of metal off to the side here:
I picked up some stuff called Inferno Shield on Amazon and fit it underneath both actuators. Here's the link to it...
I read that if you unplug the actuators in a specific position that they'll stay in that position. You could set it to quiet mode and unplug the connectors so they stay closed in the other drive modes.
With HP Tuners you can configure the tables used to control the valve position to customize...
It's mostly appearance but it's a little taller and I wanted the shift height to be as close to stock as possible.
Here's a thread with more information on them:

The ones made for the newer models don't have the adjustable handles like the earlier ones. I had an MGW on my 92 Notch and never had an issue with the clamped handle but I can see how it would happen.
I just read about the additive the other day but I've never tried it with any of the different fluids.
Yeah both hot and cold were improved with the Motul and Amsoil and completely got rid of the slight nibble I would get with the OEM fluid.
I still get an occasional high-rpm grind going into...
Ahh I missed that they flat out told you that. Yeah that is some BS.
I wonder if Ford Customer Care would be able to do anything? I've seen some threads where they intervene with weird dealer actions. Any college friends that would write a letter to them about theft of property?
I did some searching this afternoon and found a few mentions about laws regarding warranty parts but as you pointed out this isn't a warranty issue.
Legally, I believe the damaged wheel belongs to you. Could it be liability concerns with them being afraid you're going to run the damaged wheel...
None felt at all when I took it out after the install.
It definitely takes more effort to shift and push against the side springs but I've read they take a little bit to break in.
I had a rear washer fluid leak on a Ford that I bought new. Found there was a TSB for it so I brought the car in to have the work done.
Came to pick it up and found a big crease running across the headliner between the rear doors. The tech thought it was faster to fold the headliner in half...
Yup, that's the exact cable I used along with Forscan to enable it on the digital dash.
I found two other 2019s for sale as close to my spec as possible and changed the active exhaust line to match theirs.
On my car I changed the 720-10-01 line from D000 0400 000C to F000 0400 000C.
