I believe the engine will be unique to the Z/28 but that uniqueness will not be due to a fpc setup like the GT350.

All three of the domestic manufacturers are much better with quality and in most cases right on par with the Japanese but perceived quality is what knocks the US makes even when it been proven that quality is above board.

The LT1 has comparable hp/tq under the curve to the LS7 but it lacks the top end and higher rpm range of the LS7 probably due to the displacement on demand lifters and smaller cam.

The 1LE would need to be on par with the 5thgen Z/28 with power delivery and cornering to have a chance against the GT350TP.

Besides track conditions and mechanical issues, the driver mod is the largest factor on getting fast consistent laps.

Let's get back on point, shall we. Is there any documented test of the GT350 at Lagune Seca or VIR yet? Motor Trend, Car & Driver, or any other entity or will we have to wait for the Lightning Lap and Best Drivers issues to come out first?

This will be a tit-for-tat race hopefully for years to come.

The GT350 is not the target for the ZL1 so this is not a fair comparison.
