He got the car. She's a beauty. He has 30 days to return it and the clutch will be covered as part of the Carmax warranty since it was pointed out prior to sale.
Now we gotta find him a set of daily driver wheels. The PP2 wheels are kinda extreme with their huge sizing and super soft...
Is there any easy way to tell if it's aftermarket or stock? There's nothing in the Carfax about the clutch being replaced but it could have been done in the previous owner's garage.

My Dad and I are looking at getting him a '20 PP2 from Carmax. It's a 2-owner car, 401a, 15k miles, $36k.
We've driven a lot of Mustangs and this is the first one that I've seen with this problem. When taking off in first (it's most pronounced in first) and letting the clutch out smoothly...
I agree but when you Blue Book the cars, they are pretty close to what Carmax is asking. It's like KBB doesn't give you anything (or very little) for the PP2 package. The Carfax is totally clean but you can do all sorts of things and have it stay off the Carfax. We'll check it very carefully...
Thanks for all of the feedback. The car is supposed to be here on the 10th (it had to be transferred). We'll go check it out and have my Mom come along, too. Carmax's inspection/certification is kind of a joke so we'll see if the car is actually in good shape. The last PP car that I test...
Looking for some feedback from you guys about a dilemma my Dad is facing. He currently has a 2019 base GT purchased from Carmax with a 30 day return option. He found a 2020 GT PP2 for not much more money and he's thinking of switching to that car. On paper, the PP2 looks like a way better...
I don't have that particular unit but my car has.
1. DD headlight as sequential turn signal mod (replaces tri bar with new units that act as turn signals)
2. DD sequential brake light mod (brake lights sweep out like the factory turn signals do)
3. DD 4th brake light (turns reverse light red...
Also @ChitownStang since you'd have to wait so long, you might want to look at turo.com and see if you can rent one for 2-3 days. I did this with a bunch of cars (yeah, it got expensive but my Dad and I split the cost -- we both ended up with Mustangs) and it really lets you see the ins and...
Just follow your gut, man. If you drive it, you'll know pretty quick if it is the car for you or not.
My Bullitt was the 13th car that I test drove during my search and with every car before it, I had a "nah, this isn't for me" moment pretty quickly.

The M2 was on my list when I was car shopping. No doubt it's an amazing car but I decided not to buy it for several reasons:
1. Even in "comfort" mode, the ride quality was brutally harsh. I think some reviewers accurately refer to it as "masochistic" and they were right.
2. Not sure if...
Ok, I dug into this a bit more. I found Diode Dynamics sequencers (causes brake lights to sequence/sweep out when braking) and the 4th brake light kit. I removed the sequencers because I think that under braking, all 6 tail lights should illuminate at the same time. I kept the 4th brake like...
You guys have given me something to think about. I've been rear ended once but once is enough. My car has aftermarket taillights that sweep out when the brake is applied. When my wife was following me, she said that the combination of the sequential brake light and the flashing 3rd light was...
Exactly! Things seem to have cooled down a bit but it's still pretty bad. About 4 years ago, I bought a 2009 Honda Fit for my son for $1500. It needed a little TLC but no big deal. Last year, I was on a used lot looking at 2010 Fit with 100k miles for 11k! Crack pipe price. I checked a...
I found some instructions on the Brake Plus web site showing that it is generally installed right under the 3rd brake light. I'll pull the headliner down a bit and see if it's there. My gut says that the dealer took the easiest/laziest option available and may not have put it there.
I didn't...
I'm a new Mustang owner myself so I can't comment on reliability or other problems, but I was in the market for a long time. Consider getting a new 2022. They are heavily discount and have 0% APR for 5 years. There was one at my local dealer that was 5k off sticker AND 0% APR.
I see...
My Bullitt came with the "Brake Plus" system that causes the brake light at the top of the car to flash while under braking. I don't like it and want to remove it. Anyone else buy a car that had this? It looks like a simple system but I'm not sure where they tap into the wiring for install...
It sounds like you've got a plan and it is pretty much certain that you have a Canadian car. If you you want to erase all doubt, you can use your VIN on this web site to pull up the window sticker:
https://lancelhoff.com/how-to-get-ford-window-sticker-from-vin/
It only works for me about 3/4...
Not sure I want to open this can of worms, but let's hear 'em!
My first mod was going to be: Steeda jacking rails
They showed up today. Drove onto my ramps. The car already has them. 😬
That's ok. My Dad bought a 2019 GT last week and now I have a really good Father's Day...
