I've had my GT350 for 10 months without issues. 10 track days with normal oil consumption, 1 qt per 2 days of hard driving. Acceptable in all respects. Love the car!
My buddy towes a 28' enclosed aluminium trailer behind his eco F150 short box to all our 6 tracks here in the NW. Keeps up with the diesel GMC 3/4 ton except in high winds in the Columbia gorge. 40 + mph stuff. I pull my 24' boat with my F150 eco with no problems. 20k miles, just change fluids...
Hmmm, my two cents. I'm a Senior Driving Instructor for Porsche NA, living in Seattle area. I drive a 17 GT350 for a reason. Until the latest iteration of the 911 emerged the 350 was faster on the track. That's where I play. I have a video on here somewhere showing how.
Honey Badger has been on the track with me here in the Naw. He will confirm I drive relatively fast, 1.3 g turns normal. 125 mph in the rain. I have 9 full track days on my Cup 2's. 3/32" remaining after this season. 315/325's f/r. No plates or changes from recommended alignment. I've worked...
10 track days as an instructor hammering the throttle. No issues. Used a quart ou oil. Big deal. Just remember to warm all that oil up before throttle applications beyond 3k rpm. You will never regret buying a GT350. Smile on your face every time.
Everyone missed the casting/mold bar shown in the picture. Hardly driven at low speeds. And the tear is indicative of a low speed impact with something since there is no scuff mark on the tire. Superficial damage to the rubber, no torn plies. Probably get 8 to 10 thousand street miles out of...
Here in Washington we have a la that allows cars from manufacturers that don't provide front plate brackets to not have them. I havd a letter that allows me to not have a front plate because the facia is to thin to provide proper support.
Call Tom and sign up with Turn 2. Trained instructors and safe conditions pretty much year round. You can also go on line and sign up with the BMW club gor their efents. Well staffed and trained instructors.
First, bed your pads real good. Progressive harder stops from 50, 60, 70 & 80 to get them HOT. Then park the car for 24 hours. Then ok to play. On the track only use the brakes when you are at the OMG threshold point then get off and apply throttle. Modulates as needed. The brakes then don't...
I've had my GT350 for 8 months now. 12 track days, 1 set of pads on front, 2 oil changes and 1 quart added between changes. 158 mph is my best top speed and 1.3 g turns on Michelin Cup 2's. I've had a 13 and 15 GT both modified for the track and they don't hold a candle to the Shelby. Serious...
I have been running the 305/325 combo in N spec on my GT350, as I did on my 5.0. Video is posted other places on the forum. Harry's Lap Timer confirms 1.3 g turns along with the cars meter. I'm an instructor here in the NW and track the car extensively. 9 days with 32 year cycles and 5 mm...
In 1969 my Shelby drank 1 quart of oil per 500 miles, I didn't complain then, I don't complain now at 1 per 2k. And for mileage what gear are they using and lead foot driving technich? I drive Seattle to Portland and get 23+. And cruising distance my bladder goes 3 hours so who cares how much...
