While I wait for a friend to finish his current job. I have time before we do the head gasket replacement. Would anyone suggest just going with Bars head gasket sealer for a temporary fix on a just starting to show up issue? He tells me its a death sentence for the engine. But I just thought I'd ask others opinions. I'm not going to do it. Unless anyone can show success with Bars repair kit. I do know for sure I have a worsening head gasket because of the exhaust gas in my coolant system. Just likely is a minor leak at this time. Because I see no coolant in the oil and no oil in the coolant. I recently flushed the system after replacing the water pump. Which was a nightmare.

A big NO! It will cause issue's in the radiator and heater core. Just replace the headgasket. I made that mistake many, many moons ago.

Have you ever removed a tire after putting fix a flat in it? Its a mess. Now imagine that kind of crap in your cooling system and the clean up you would have to do to get it all out after you fix it the right way.

That stuff if for emergencies only. Like stranded in the middle on nowhere, but need to get home.
