So kooks has a solid deal going right now so I think I need to get in line. Question is are the green cats worth the extra dough? Kooks says performance high flow cats are for na cars. They are both 400 cell high flow but the green cats have the extra precious metals. The cost jump is fairly substantial. Running around 700 wheel id guess not tracking atm

I have the regular Kooks cats and haven't hurt them but I'm only running 10psi

Car sounds so much better and smells a lot better with them on. I have the off-road pipes but don't want to go back

If you dont have emission testing why get them, one less thing to worry about.

This is something I often wonder about. Don’t want to take the car to the track and cause my stock cats to fail, but also don’t want anything to do with the noise of long tubes without cats… my understanding is that any cat can be damaged by boost except for maybe cars that came boosted from the factory. Will be watching this thread to see what other people‘s experiences have been.

the smell and rasp
Do a H-pipe keep the stock resonator, I run 2m fabrication headers, with American muscle H-pipe and MBRP CAT BACK and the smell isnt that bad on when you get low grad gas. No drone and I have Vert.

Bit the bullet and ordered the kooks with the green cats. After chatting with kooks, vmp and stainless works it sounds like the standard off the shelf performance cats included in most of the kits just can’t handle the heat all of our boosted cars are making. Not a matter of if it’s when. Price was a tough pill to swallow but long tubes I think are a must on a boosted car

Sounds GREAT, are you running the MBRP street or Race?? I'm gonna go long tubes as well and I'm running MBRP street due to the plan of going long tubes and not wanting to be raspy as hell or be loud just to be loud, like what seems like most coyote owners do lol
