Fuel Injector Clinic (FIC)

Hey All,

Gotta ask about FIC injectors. I've done some searches on here but haven't really found discussions on likes or not. My mechanic steered me toward them because they were cheaper than Injector Dynamics (ID).

The only problem I've had with them is the car cutting off at stops periodically. I've had three revisions so far. To make a long story short, my tuner prefers ID injectors.

Has anyone else had any negative experiences with FIC?

FIC injector came with the VMP Odin 2650 Supercharger kit. FIC 1000’s, run perfectly till i sold the car 2 years later.

Sounds like a tuner problem. Get the injector cleaned and flowed tested at a race shop and before you get rid of them.

ID’s are great too. I currently have Injector Dynamics 1300’s on my new build. Same tuner, same results = no problems.

All tuners have thier preferences but a great tuner can tune them all, I have had mine for 6 years no issues

Fic work just fine as long as you use fic data. I have seen tuners that use injector data that they are use to for other injectors and it doesn’t normally work out.

Few years ago it seemed like everyone was having issues with them and getting tuned with them... haven't heard or seen any issues lately.

Buy the other FIC's. Fuel Injector Connection. The data is perfect, and they have an OEM style body that doesn't have multiple o-rings and a spacer

Any good injector company have free data to match their injectors. As long as they provide data you should be good

I ended up putting the ID 1330 injectors in to appease the tuner . This tuner is known and a beast in the tuning community, but I guess it doesn’t like FIC.

The FIC 1440 injectors probably were overkill for where I’m at currently (1000plus wheel hp), but 1200 plus hp is possibly in my future, and the FIC injectors were less expensive than the IDs, which is why we went with them.
My mechanic has a direct plug with this tuner , so they can immediately text or call and say “XYZ” about what it just did on the dyno, compared to having to wait.

If you plan on running e85 you will be right at the limit of injectors for 1200whp. I think 1400cc injectors are recommended for 1000whp on e85 at stock pressure
