Those who have had full PPF applied on your Mach 1s, any tips on dealing with the decals?

I had mine done a couple months ago when I first got the car. They did full front clip gloss PPF they cut around the decal and did Matte ppf over part of the decal, came out amazing. For sure happy with it.

I have full ppf. I removed all of the OEM decals because my installer did not want to cut along them and leave an air gap or allow dirt to accumulate along the decals. I ordered a set, I believe from auto design llc. Very good quality and have no issues with them since being installed in August of ‘22. Ford wanted I believe $1100 for the hood and close to $400 each for both rocker panel decals.

I'm FJG and did full, one piece PPF over the hood with decal intact in 2022. I like it as one piece because the decals aren't as tough as PPF and it's cheaper not having to buy new decals. The aftermarket decals are multi-piece (I think) as opposed to the more expensive OEM decal that is single piece. There is an air bubble around it, but it's small and I forget it's there. On this decal the PPF covers it all the way around so there are no dirt concerns like on the rocker decals if you had an open end.

I like the hood decal glossy as the center of the decal is metallic and really pops with gloss PPF. As mentioned by another, PPF does make the Mach 1 lettering almost disappear.

I had mine done by a highly reputable shop. They just left the decals uncovered.
