I I just bought a 2020 51k miles on it. GREAT CAR compared to my 2016 Camaro SS. The 10 speed seems to pull harder than the 8 speed Camaro. Except I got the common rattles. When driving I notice a rattling noise. At first I thought it was my plates because the other screw dealer used was incorrect size so I went to walmart and got some screws. The screw is tighter but not a perfect fit but it doesn't move around anymore. I can't pin point it. It's not the plastic vibrating due to the radio, turned it off. I tried rolling my windows and switching the exhaust to quiet mode to hear it, but the noise of the wind drowns out any sounds of course. I might try recording it on my phone later but probably won't pick it up well. I looked under the car, every plate is screwed in, mufflers not loose. I opened and closed the rear seats thinking maybe it wasn't latched all the way.

My 2006 GT had it REAL bad. Every bump it was clinking and had multiple places look at it and they couldn't figure it out at all. My 2012 didn't have that except plastic vibrating from the radio.

Dealer said I could bring it in and talk to them see what's going on but that was about it.

This was a one owner btw. Appears to be a snowbird. Bought it in NY and then moved to FL. All scheduled maintence and repairs done at dealers. Very well kept car. Came out to just under 34k

Seemed like a better deal. The 2015s-2018 not a ton cheaper with similar miles on them. Seemed better to buy a newer one and have the 10 speed.

Just as an experiment, put the rear seats down and see if that makes a difference. I had a rattle that was hard to pinpoint. I thought it might be the rear suspension or the exhaust. It turned out to be the rear seat latches. A little grease fixed them right up

I thought the exaust too, but everything looks fine there. My 2006 I swore it was the aftermarket mufflers not being secured and rattling but went to 4 different places and they could find anything.

That sounds like the fruitless search I want on trying to find the rattle.

Try the rear seat thing. There's nothing to lose and it takes just a few minutes.

Yea tonight when traffic is slower I will do it. Doesn't sound like from under the car though. haven't ruled out the plates totally because it only has two stop screws but I don't think that's it. hard to hear at higher speeds when it does it more when all you can hear is wind with the window down.

If you can hear a rattle, your exhaust isn't loud enough 😆

these cars are rattle traps, is what it is. you can chase them but will probably cause 5 more new ones from disassembling stuff 😄
