Yeah, I was just on the phone with the manager of the shop. We joked that the body gap lines will be better now than when it left the production line.I'd say you picked a good shop. They have kept you updated very well and providing pics is a plus. If they didn't paint the whole car, you may find the back half looks exceptionally nice
question I need that piece underneath the driver door with the black plastic attached to it...Just got a message that the car was "assembled", with more pics. I don't know if that means the car is done being repaired or not? Don't know if I can go get it, or they're not finished yet. Waiting for a reply to that question.

Tried it find it on OEM ford parts website but can’t seem to find it. I need to have that piece painted and installed...
the piece underneath the driver door with the black plastic ?I don't know which piece you are talking about.
thx, however I need to find the factory name for the part. Try to look it up online and can’t find it. Mine got damaged and don’t want to order at dealer.Ok, I think you are talking about the side skirt.
looks good... glad you’re happy they worked fast tooSo here she is. Picked her up yesterday.
This car looks better than the day I purchased it. The factory paint had a flaw in the driver's door, where someone had taken a small circular buffer and tired to remove something, and that's gone. There was the tiniest of chips from some asshole on the passenger door, they fixed that too.
When I first looked at the paint in the repaired area, there was a tiny bit of orange peel I wasn't happy about. Turns out it matches the tiny bit of orange peel on the passenger side rear quarter (??), so I'm good with it. There is one issue on the A pillar near the top, where the base coat was blended/stopped/started with the factory paint, and it's a bit wavy with a few pock-marks. It's something I'm going to leave for now, and maybe take back to them some time in the future. They have a life-time warranty, and for right now it's hardly noticeable, and I don't want to go through all that crap again.
This shop did so well, in comparison to other body shop experiences I've had, it's amazing to think I accepted the work from those other shops, and just lived with it. As others rightly stated, the paint on the repaired areas looks better than the factory paint. Deeper, richer, better.
