This will probably be a one-post build thread...

Shortly after I bought my 2018 PP1, Ford announced the PP2. I immediately fell in love with the look of the PP2 and always wished my timing had been better. About a month ago I test drove one with intentions to buy, but couldn't get a deal that made financial sense. And with the mods done to my PP1, there wasn't a noticeable performance difference on the street.

So I changed strategies and began searching for the front splitter, rear spoiler, and wheels to make my car look like a PP2. I didn't want aftermarket parts, and finding used OEM parts is extremely hard. Forget new ones, Ford charges a fortune ($1,200 for the rear spoiler?? Really??). The best deal I could find on trading my 2018 on a 2020 PP2 would have put me about $14K more into debt... the total cost of installing the PP2 wheels, spoiler and splitter came to $686.60 after selling my old wheels and spoiler.

But the search was a success, and here's the result! A HUGE thank you to @50Mustang , @W1cK3dSiK , and @Champracerj , whose cars were organ donors for my patient.

Now don't hate me, real PP2 owners...as they say, imitation is the most sincere form of flattery!

I did mine the other way, which no doubt was more expensive.
It no doubt was but if you can afford it you gotta do it! I would much rather have bought it off the lot this way.

That spoiler is looking mighty fine. Glad it worked out!

Car looks good. I was thinking about buying a PP2 a couple of months ago also, but like you, it just didn't make financial sense for me, figure I will just keep my 2017 GT.

Are the tires take offs also, so cup 2's? I can't zoom in enough to see what tires they are, can just tell there Michelins. For a 24mm offset front wheel, the fronts don't look like they poke to bad compared to a standard PP2. Guessing you have some extra camber in the front?

Thanks,

Doug

The tires are actually the 295/35-19 front and 305/35-19 rear stock GT350 tires that I had transferred over to these PP2 wheels. The alignment is to factory PP2 specs. The sidewalls of the tires have a slope to the tread surface, so with the fronts being 295's instead of 305's plus taller than the stock PP2 tires, that's probably why they don't look like they poke out as far.

Thanks for the info. Those are the exact tires sizes I am wanting to run. My original plans was to buy the SVE PP2 replicas. I looked at the Ford Performance wheels that have the same specs as the OEM PP2 wheels, but was concerned about the 24 mm front offset. After seeing this, I might have to reconsider! Guess my only issue now is the weight of the Ford wheels compared to the SVE wheels, and the SVE wheels haven't been in stock for months!

Thanks again and your car looks great!

Doug

Next time I buy fronts they’ll be 285/35-19 instead of 295’s to try and help a little with the tramlining. And I’d definitely go with the FP wheels instead of SVE mainly because of how much better the steering response is with the PP2 offset. There’s a reason Ford lets these things weigh what they do - they wouldn’t waste the money on the extra metal if its wasnt important.

And thanks! Nice to hear from guys who can appreciate the work you put into your car, not like the random fast food drive up window girl who says “hey nice car...what is it?” :cwl:

Hey Mike, after watching how good these wheels fit with smaller tires I think I gonna cancel my pp2 replica wheels order in 9.5/10 size.

Going pp2 size 10.5/11 with 285/35 front and probably 295/35 rear

Yep I would definitely go 285/35 front. I'll stay with 305/35 rear next time I need tires though, no issues with the 305's back there on my current setup.
