Tired of my stock 2018 GT spinning the tires in first and all the way through 2nd. Hit the rev limiter the other day when it let go in 2nd, and shut down forward progress.

So I decided to order some Indy 500's. I know they may spin some from a dig or 15-20 mph roll, but I hope they hook much better than the stock Pirelli's, with only 8,500 miles on them.

You'll like the Indys. Great street tire. Get a good alignment with those new tires. Target -1.5 front camber and -1.2 rear camber. 0-0.05 front toe, 0.10-0.12 per side rear toe.

Quick question, my 2018 feels kinda' "floaty" at 120+. Wonder if these new shoes will help? Thinking of getting the lock out for the rear if the Indy 500's don't help.

Springs and dampers, and aero.

Short drive I can tell:

Much quieter compared to the Pirellis'
A little smoother over expansion joints
Steering wheel inputs feel just a little quicker, but to soon to tell

So far, so good.

Just wanted to throw out an update after enough miles to offer some feedback.

I love these tires. I can't believe how much quieter they are compared to the Pirelli's. I can now hear my exhaust burble much better (a good thing) on the highway. The ride is a little smoother as well, the harsh input of road imperfections is more muted.

Handling wise on dry roads, (have not done wet yet) they corner extremely well. I have not found the limit yet in corners, but it's high enough to be satisfying so far.

At this point, I would buy again and probably will when the time comes. I think you would have to spend a lot more money just to get something not exponentially better.
