I purchased my GT350 used so not sure how much track use it got, but wondering if the clutch is going out or just overheated and warped. I have 20k miles on car.

Once I get to about 180-190 temp and car seems warmed up I can feel pulsating feedback from my clutch pedal when it’s fully engaged.

Not really sure if it’s the throw out bearing, clutch or even flywheel? Could the clutch even get warped and not be flat? Throw out bearing not engaged smoothly? I really am not sure.

I figure I will just replace the clutch, throw out bearing and possibly the flywheel. If I am not planning to track the car, should I just go with an OEM clutch? I have seen post about other clutches failing or was this mainly due to heavy track use or power adders?

I planned to just take it to a shop for replacement in central Texas somewhere, not sure what to expect for labor on something like this?

Your foot shouldnt be on the clutch if it's "fully engaged" that's how you end up buying a new clutch... Put your foot on the dead pedal where it belongs.

Now if you mean it pulsates a little while disengaging or slipping during move offs. My regular GT does that as well. The cars most likely fine but if it's keeping you up at night go ahead and order a new clutch and flywheel.

Just keep it in the garage. As long as the parts are sealed it won't rust.

They're probably gonna charge you the shelby tax... A shop will probably charge 600-1000.00... On top of parts.

But you can do it yourself. Clutch jobs on RWD are pretty easy to do. You can do it in a day...

I swapped a tranny on a BMW 3 series in 1.5 hrs... Mustangs are not much different. From a typical RWD...
AWD and FWD sucks balls sack

What year is the car? Shouldn’t there still be warranty coverage on it?

I totally got this backwards in original post. So the clutch pulsating is when the pedal is fully depressed.

My car is a 2016, I think the 36/3 year ran out in April.

Again I will state the obvious that Ford is not going to replace the clutch because it has some pulsing feedback.

I know this, not taking it to Ford, it’s why I asked about cost to do it.

Warranties do not cover clutches and break pads... Weirdly though they Will cover the flywheel... How that makes sense is beyond me...

bro thats where you should take it if it still has the powertrain warranty, that way if there's an issue it's documented and helps the cars improve. Other point is if a shop changes the parts and forgets to torque a bolt or something random and 6 months from now that bolt takes out a bellhousing or gearbox it's now Ford's problem not yours

The reason I’m asking whether you have warranty, is not so much to replace the clutch (which is a wear item) but if it’s the spindle or throw out bearings that’s defective. I mean, with the power train warranty intact, I figured it shouldn’t cost you anything except if they have to tear it apart.

There’s always AAMCO, the transmission specialists lol

Because of a hydraulic operating system, if you are feeling some pulsation with the pedal depressed and held down, I would suspect a slightly warped flywheel that is causing the TO bearing to oscillate a little back and forth with engine revolutions, and which would feed back to the master and then to the pedal. Sort of like a warped brake rotor can cause a pulsating in the brake pedal.

Have to agree. If it doesn't affect drivability they will state it's within parameters. They're actually correct and your warranty covers part failures that happen within the warranty period, not minor roughness.

But you never can tell. Dealer has surprised me before.

But you have a 5/60 powertrain. Doesn't hurt to ask.
