Happy 4th everyone. I havent found much on coyote engine diapers and Motion Raceworks has a 10% off sale on theirs, so I ordered it. I'll be sure to get pics and comment on how well it installs in the coming weeks. The car is still parked without resolution for the axle shafts since DSS is closed this week.

Heard from both Beefcake and DSS today. They sent me a UPS label to get the axles sent back to DSS. I'm going to try to get them pulled out tonight to ship tmrw.

No, not cross-thread. When the nut gets to the end of the threads, it chews them off. I should have put anti seize on there knowing another member had the same thing happen to him, @18 Smoke This is a joke!

Here's exactly what causes it, the driver side was the same as the passenger side. You'll have to zoom a little, the camera ph is shit.

I worked extra smooth, out a couple turns and then back in and out a couple and so forth. Still chewed the threads off. The nut flakes into the threads, piss poor.

Wouldn’t you think that the threads would be harder steel than the freakin nut!!

It's not from anti-seize or cross threading or anything. Its the pinch nut. The part that is spiked to keep it from backing off. If it's spiked too much it leaves 4 tabs of undersized threads.

Mine barely knocked off the peaks of the thread major, but not enough to be concerned.
