The real question I wonder about is are they going to reveal the final numbers before or after the C8 reveal

I think after the C8 reveal. Why? Why not wait to see if GM puts out its FI engine numbers. If they do then Ford will have a decent idea about what the ZL1 1LE will lay down and Trump them.

I agree ... they are waiting to steal their thunder with a little Mustang-related announcement of their own

Competition is only gonna heat up especially if GM can deliver a Mid engine sports car for a relatively low price

Okay so for all the waiting and speculation would most here seem to agree that we have a pretty good assessment on what’s to be?
For me I think the 750hp-800hp is the motor and the zero to 60 is in the low 3s and 1/4 mile 128-130 low 10s. And who here really could say no those numbers are not within reason. Just can’t see someone here walking away from the baddest ass GT Mustang ever. And even if the numbers are maybe off say a 1/4 mile 125-128 and mid 3s your gonna walk? So yeah it’s frustrating but I think we kinda already know the numbers. And I even reached out to the SVO FORD PERFORMANCE today and talked to a technician. Asked if he knew of anything on the GT500 and he said Fall release and that’s all he knows.

close, but given all the data hearsay and relevant information. id say the HP is in the 750 range, 740-760 to be a bit more dialed in. I would bet $ it goes at least 10.8 @ 131-133mph, possibly even more. and probably faster in customers hands stock.

Damn that would be over the top smoking factory set up car hope your right. And Ford states it’s a straight line performance car as well as the road course.

at 4k lbs with 200lb driver and 660 rwhp, it WILL go at least that fast. some of the calculators have the mph even above that, which I can believe given previous experience. the DCT launch control strategy and tires are what keep the ET so high

You just have to believe the 800hp club is here. If Dodge can do it why can’t Ford? And Ford is active all over Dodge on the road course,Rally, NASCAR, NHRA, Baja....etc
What a sad day if Ford with all its exposure to the performance racing world can’t match DODGE.
