I hear 3:31 is a good ratio. Your PP has a lower ratio than that though. You are going to be out of 1st so fast you might as well ignore it.
At least that's what I hear.

Since you DO NOT have a PP I would guess you already have a 3.31 rear. Most boosted cars find the 3.31 works best with the manuals and the 3.15's with the autos.
Crawl under the rear and look at the center pumpkin. It should have a paper sticker on it that shows what the rear is. The one in the picture is a 3.31. First 8.8 identifies the rear and second is the gear ratio.

My buddy just swapped from 3.73 to 3.31 with a Roush SC and he's very happy.

I ran my car with 3.73s at the track for the first time this past weekend. I was hitting my 7800rpm rev limiter at 132.48 mph in 4th gear before passing the 1/4 mile traps. If I would have shifted into 5th I probably would have went over 135mph.

Another forum member with 3.31s running that day with the same setup AND TUNE as me was running 5 10th's quicker than me at 133.82 with more RPM to go.

Nonetheless, after the track visit I immediately ordered a set of 3.31s and am going to have them installed next week.

3.31’s are best for any boosted application. I have a 17 Manual with 3.55’s and Roush Phase 2 and would prefer a 3.31 but the 3.55’s are ok. The 3.73’s would be horrendous in a boosted setup. So if your non pp you have stock 3.31’s unless the car was ordered with 3.55 option.
