I thought so your tire rotation is backwards.

Thanks !
Good thing I can’t drive it since no brake lines .

Not sure if that’s how it was the last time out but they could have put them back wrong after the brake job .
Still hoping I can get my 15 inch wheels to fit .

From the looks of it that 17 inch has a beefy sidewall , if moving to a 15 inch tire you may want to consider a bead lock as the tire will most likely spin on the rim.

I like wheels and tires (my garage looks like discount tire ) but I am cheap when it comes to what I will pay for wheels .
The ET pros are already mounted on 15x8 bracket racer wheels .
I do have 2 sets of 15x9 welds(the black ones )
They already have 28 and 26 inch bias ply ET R’s mounted from when I was trying to figure out what would work best with my KB/Magnum car .
The 15x 8 race stars cleared the Baer brakes on that car easily but swayed too much with bias ply tires .
it did not take too much grinding to make the 15x9 welds fit the Baer brakes but I doubt those wheels have any chance of clearing these brakes.

If it’s going to be too hard to make the 15 x8 wheels work with the double calipers I will of course just run the 17 wheels (plenty of mid 8 second/l.3x 60 ft cars with 17 inch wheels .).. but I like the look of the 15’s ... and they have even more side wall .

Well since racing has been done here since end of October , only type of racing is on the dyno . Lol
I had a GT 350 intake “lying around “ after installing the Whipple on my GT 350 , so I decided to swap it for the 11 intake I had on the Hellion car (the 15 intake won’t match the GT 350 heads in the car )
Also was able to relocate the IAT sensor to the throttle body with the VMP harness so I cam get true post spray reading..
We did 2 pulls with the old intake first(58 and 59) and then installed the GT 350 (no meth on either) and made another 2 pulls (61 and 62-) so this is a true same day back to back comparison .
It picked up power after 6000 rpm with max gains of about 70 hp at about 7500 as I expected .

The boost setting is still the “ street” setting (17) as it looks like it’s starting to lift the heads again and blowing air into the coolant (overflows each pass).
Looking into solutions over this winter . It already has ARP heard studs but I hear there is now a stronger “2000” version.
Any and all suggestions welcomed .

That’s what dyno operator thinks .
It looks like air is getting into the coolant at this boost levels .

I have had a gasket failure before in this car that apparently trashed a previous block .
I had the heads decked when I had a new block built but then had oil pressure issues I was chasing for almost a year
I ended up replacing those heads with a new pair -same GT 350 (turned out that was not the issue )and reused the same head studs .
It ran well last year without issues . Since last pass at the strip I did replace the exhaust . I had cut outs after the Midpipe before but they were too low and were scraping everywhere so I deleted them with the 3 inch bassani catback .
May be there is more back pressure without the cut outs (always ran the car with them open before ) ?

6266 precision BB.
I switched from 55 JB(had them rebuilt and still have them ) and I miss the low end hit but 62’s have hardly broken sweat at this boost level .
It took the 55’ about 20 psi to make same power and they were almost maxed out per boost controller dutycyce .

Below is a graph of the best pull with the 11 intake(59) compared to the GT350(62) .- same day .
63 was today
The GT 350 intake pulls have a dip at about 6700.
Not sure what’s going on there ?

Wow what a beast. That thing must be a blast.

What rpm do the 62s see full boost and how does it compare to the 55s?

A little bit of apples to oranges but below is a 55 vs 62 comparison.
55's were on an alluminator at the time different tuner(and boat load more timing which may have cost me the motor. lol)
looks like 55's makes full boost at 4500 vs 5000 with 62's.
Made a ton more torque too
I will see if I can find a file with the 55's with this motor

I found a file(44) of a pull with the 55's with the same enfine(5.2/GT350)r/11 intake.(different tuner to current)

compared to the 62's with 11 intake they still make a boat load more torque with boost coming on earlier(I could not plot rpm as it was slipping on the dyno)\

GT 350 intake gains are after 7000 rpm.

I also have an 18 intake "lying around" since that now has a whipple.
I may do a back to back compare with the GT350..intake in future...... after I figure out how to fix the head lifting. lol
The GT 350 intake looks killer though and is already optimized for the GT 350 heads so that's what I will likely run next year....... unless the 18 intake makes a boat load more power.

Car is probably going to be for sale at the end of next year along with at least the KB car
I promised my self (and wife ) I would be giving up hobby .
It’s gettinr too expensive with 4 cars and at this power levels I think you are always going to be tfixing stuff . Lol
I now keep spare motors (long blocks ) for both cars I will be offering to any buyer (kind of like a warranty) if they want.
Lol
