Too funny Fred and certainly the GT350R's are intimidating to the Type R crowd and rightly so!

As far as an every day car it is hard to beat a Type R and can't say enough about the bang for the buck.

Back in 1992 I was able to purchase the first Acura Integra GSR that came to Canada so have been a closet Honda/Acura enthusiast ever since thus the Type R.

If you are serious about a Type R give me a call and can maybe help you out as just after I had just taken delivery of this Rallye Red car when I got a call from a local dealership asking me if I wanted a Championship White car and declined based on my car already in the garage.

I understand that they have another Type R on order and can give you the contact information if you are still interested.

I’d love to but have to take care of the wife first... her Land Rover needs a replace and debating about what to replace it with... Volvo XC60, Jag or MDX.

My GS would not get in the garage with the My 07 SGT. Had to get rid of her. Oh well.
The Ford GT and KR were happy as clams together.
The Shelby GT350 got along with the Boss just fine

Nice Camaro you have there

Is that a 2013 SBY Laguna Seca as not many of those produced?

;)

No, the Laguna Seca had a special faux gas fill in the back with the track on it.

Loved that color though.
Yes, should have caught that with the LS track in Yellow lines on the faux gas cap and of course the striping over the hood is different on the LS cars compared to the regular Boss cars for the 2013MY.

The ZL1 1LE is a bad machine! Congrats!

A friend of mine picked one up and it is a beast. A ton of power. I'll have to disagree on the ride quality though. It is absolutely horrible on anything but perfectly flat pavement. No way to soften up the ride either. I've heard those comments from others and I didn't believe it until I experienced it first hand. Great for the track, but I wouldn't want to drive it on the street or daily drive one.

Rides as harsh as my Viper in track mode (luckily there is a street mode to soften up the ride in the Dodge).

Isn’t the rear spoiler different as well?

What are your thoughts on the shifter? I drove a regular ZL1 and was very happy to hop back in my 350...but i have the MGW, so i’m kinda spoiled. I’ve been looking at these pretty hard, but i know George ain’t making one for this car, and i really just am a mustang guy. It’ll be a tough jump to make, but i’m really considering it after what feels like 17 trips to the dealer.

It is harsh, but I don't find it offensive or annoying at all, I guess after 30 years of sports cars, I am just used to it. I had a 99 Viper GTS and loved that ride too.

The shifter feels great and the gear changes are solid. So far and just like the GT350, it's definitely a drivers car.

I just know one of them is going to pee on the other one! Just got the ZL1 on Friday and I love it. It will fit into my garage nicely! I can't wait to break it in and open her up!

Initial observations:

1) Ride/suspension is awesome. For all those folks that say it's too harsh, they must just be used to a cushy ride as it's no harsher than the GT350 in track mode and my Ford RS in track mode is actually harsher.

2) Rear visibility is zero, all I can see is a giant wing....but I love it!

3) It sounds great, but not better than the GT350 at WOT. :D

Regards

Great car, you won't be sorry. It will beat the pants off of a GT350R, minus the R sound. But it is just a sound. The Tesla can beat the pants off of both with NO sound

What do you tell people when they say why didn't you buy a Porsche/Maserati/BMW/etc. instead of buying two muscle cars? I'm looking at doing the same thing, have a 2017 ZL1 and looking at buying a 2018 GT350. My answer to these people is, because I don't want cars that cost a fortune to repair, fortune to maintain. The maintenance cost on these two vehicles is far less than any of the Audi's I've owned in the past, put together.
