The AC heat exchanger that sits in front of the radiator should be closely inspected as a culprit causing cooling issues.
A fellow mustang owner with a higher mileage car was having issues with cooling until he noticed that the AC heat exchanger was in poor shape and preventing good airflow...
I’ve also been tracking with a Mishimoto with no issues. My car is turbo at 7psi for track.
One thing you will need to do is box in all 4 sides of the radiator otherwise air flow will bypass and you won’t get the cooling result you are expecting.
I have a Timpte 718, similar to your Futura. The only extra thing I can offer is to disconnect the battery when not in use, unless you have a solar charger keeping it topped off.
I learned the hard way that the wireless remote drains the battery, and it will be dead a couple months in storage.
actually this is all you need. The speed and rpm calibration is not perfect, but it’s enough to get the gears identified. To test you can log gear, or get the cortex to show which gear you are in.
Sure, would be happy to help. Do you have it wired in per the instructions here?

Then it needs to be powered before it can connect to your laptop.
I used this to convert the tremec 2 wire VSS signal to the 3 wire for the OEM harness. Works perfect after you change the VSS pulses per rev config.

Wow, I got to ask, were you driving a closed in car like a mustang or an open car like Miata, boxster.
The HPDE place I go to all require driver and passenger windows to be open, so I guess something could fly in
That’s what I have, gen 2 heads with gen 2 crank and the GT500 block. Everything swapped over no problems.
It’s the gen 3 heads that have DI, they will probably need the little dish in the piston to distribute the fuel spray properly
Might be a way to disable the factory safes but you’ll need something like HPTUNERS or Cobb for the eco boost. I’m not familiar with the eco tune, but the 5.0 has a few tables you can change to remove or reduce the effects of temperature in the tune.
I think the fans would only be helpful at slow speeds versus 80mph track speeds.
I purchased the setrab installation bracket which came with rubber isolators. It felt pretty soft, like bicycle tube type rubber, with the cooler floating between two pieces.
Easier way might be to buy an...
