ah! what rev hang are you guys referring to? i'm working my way backwards through this thread. so might nothave seen it yet. but does it eliminate rev hang? and under what circumstances. i get rev hang if i push the clutch in and don't release it (to coast a few seconds) and not shift, i...
howdy all. so you know when you rev up in 1st gear, then push clutch in, then hold clutch in and not shift but rather just coast for a bit... and your rpm's drop from say 3000 to 2500 and just hang there for several seconds even though you're just coasting with the clutch in.... you can do it...
well, i do get nervous when it rains. also, it's crazy cuz i spin at almost full throttle (manual) from 1st-2nd-3rd-maybe 4th in 90degree temps going up a strait on-ramp made of cement. maybe the cement is the issue. and also that's after driving the tires for many miles so they are warmer...
yeah, no snow driving for me, but last year i did get caught after work and we had 2-3" of almost slush, slippery snow on the roads during traffic after work, some d-bag turned left right in front of me and i was damn happy to have had my snow tires on because they worked and saved me from...
it's getting kind of old to swap out from stock PP1 wheels/tires to winter wheels/tires. i'm wondering if anyone has tried the pilot sport all seasons and how they felt? disappointed - regret? i do like to drive in the winter, but only with dry or wet roads, no snow.
or perhaps something...
i do use sport mode steering feel on '18 GT PP1. however, it's always felt a little too easy to turn back and fourth at or just off center. is there a fix for this, is it programming or mechanical. it is responsive if i tip off to the left or right of center, just seems too light :)
i've had my 2018 gt pp1 for 16 months/5000miles now and noticed the rattle on the way home from the dealership. here's my experience with it.
if i shift at 1500-1800rpm in the mornings when i first go for the day, it's not noticeable. i might have heard it once or twice quietly but may not...
i have to check my notifications, didn't see that you replied!
thanks, interesting video. does this apply to manual trans as well? seems like it wouldn't.
so maybe 5 times ive heard a loud metal clank when the engine turns over yikes! it will happen maybe 1 time in 4 or 5 times starting the engine,as i am driving around and then letting the car sit for a while in between starts. it happened tonight in the garage after it sat for about 2 3 hours...
that was it! i had forgotten who it was. somehow it got unclear to me when they menitioned 3-point down at the bottom! ok cool so no worries for me.
side note: are snell 2010 helmets still viable option or did that change now?
has anyone had that 2000rpm-2500rpm rattle completely go away or partially go away?
this weekend, with ~1,400 miles on the clock, i noticed it was completely gone, even when it was cold on first start up.
ambient air temps 30-39 degrees. overnight 20's.
however this morning, i noticed it in...
i recently (month ago?) got an email from one of the clubs about requirement for hans device... but i'm not sure if it was only for cars with 4 point harnesses or if it was in general. are clubs moving towards having a hans even if you are running a factory seat belt? thanks i guess i don't...
so what's the deal with the oil pressure gauge? most of the time it seems to be pretty steady when i cruise around 20-25psi. then if i push the throttle down the psi goes up, but it can sometimes stay there, hang a bit. it'll rise steadily, then hang a bit, then drop back down. is that...
