  1. About to set my car on fire... a finger in the right direction would be very appreciated.

So @andrewtac ended up being a broken timing chain and @HKusp was most likely a from being a tooth off?

Alright I just ordered a new engine harness from PBH after they confirmed it's what I was looking for. We'll see how it goes when it comes time to reconnect everything... if anything, at least I'll have a fresh harness for the car before digging in further to verify timing components.

Not yet, I need to double check with PBH on Monday that their harness is what I actually need before ordering. OEM part for my MY. FU5Z-12A581-D

I may try to get an engine harness from PBH to hopefully rule out as much wiring issues as possible for myself. Levittown Ford let me order one on backorder but there is no ETA but if that eventually arrives, I will keep as a backup. This was the first time my engine was fully pulled out of the...

Man I was afraid of something like and it especially sucks since this was all new timing components too. Lund had mentioned after I asked again about what they think could be going on. Timing appears to be good from a high level but there's something else going on which could be assembly...

So this first screenshot is VCT1 and VCT2 intake. These seem to match. This one is VCT1 and VCT2 exhaust. These do not match, like VCT2 exhaust goes offline or something.

I’ll try to look over the logs I had sent Lund last month to see if I can find the VCT operations you’re referencing. i do have an extra set of new timing related stuff in cause we do have to tear down into the engine. Was hoping it would be an “easier” fix before taking that route.
  8. About to set my car on fire... a finger in the right direction would be very appreciated.

Is there anything in a log that would specifically point to a phaser being the issue? I’ll ask my shop to replace all the VCT solenoids first though.
  9. About to set my car on fire... a finger in the right direction would be very appreciated.

Just skimming through this thread after messaging honeybadger that I was having some issues that could possibly be the harness. So for me after a fresh build: -Gen 3 Stage 3 FFRE short block -Gen 2 heads, stock cams -PAC 1234X valve springs -ARP head studs -All new timing components (Boss...
  10. TT - oil scavenge pump mounting

Hmm alright, looks like just finding a good spot to mount it around the front frame/bumper area with a bracket. I was mocking up a few spots but then I wasn't sure if the pump had to be at certain angles or had to be level/above the oil pan for drainage and residual oil. The shop had originally...
  11. TT - oil scavenge pump mounting

For those with a low/mid-mount turbo setup and drag k-member, where have you found to be the ideal spot to mount the oil scavenge pump? It’s one of the last things i need to finish buttoning up my car.
  12. Motor seized - what would you put in?

Aluminator seems to be the way to go if you're not trying to boost to crazy levels and keep it reliable.
  13. Mach One front end? On 15-17.

I'm interested in ordering one of these to freshen up the front end of my car. What do you think of the overall quality and have you installed it yet?
  14. 2015 Mustang Built engine for boost

Aluminator shortblock is probably the safest bet in that power range and doesn't break the bank.
