Just can't get enuff!
My brother in law "total Ford nut" said the other day, "Wouldn't it be nice to pull your Shelby with a Raptor?" I now have been actually considering it!

Who else here has a Raptor and what are your thoughts? Who has a 17 or 18 with the 10 speed? I did drive one the other day and thought how absurd it is to have a truck like that, but isn't that the point?

Thank you in advance!
I like your bro-in-law and I like absurdity... to a limit. :D

A 2017 Avalanche Gray here along with a 2017 RRR.

I love my Raptor, that straight & simple... and it takes turns daily driving duties to/from the office along with my Miata. :ninja:

Hell yeah bro. The Raptor. Such an awesome vehicle - best Ford vehicle I've spent time with to date. You really get the feeling that Ford's real bread and butter are trucks. They're INSANELY equipped and convenient to spend time in (hell, thye road trip better than any other car I've driven, the power is stupid fast for a stock truck, the on-board inverter charges my laptop, GoPros, and cell phones all at the same time, they have a crap ton of drink holders, the back row folds down big enough for my big dogs to lap down flat etc...).

I absolutely LOVE my Raptor. I've done everything from mob through the mud and sand to tow my 8,000lbs trailer over 3K miles. Next year I'll be driving it cross-country to drive VIR and RA. It's an absolute beast and built to perfection (except the sound.....after listening to the Voodoo all day, it's a bit depressing).

It's stupid you can buy an OEM vehicle that can do all this. But I won't complain :)

Well.... Picking up a 2018 Lead Foot tomorrow, nicely equipped!

I drove one and kind of fell in love "for a truck!"

Will post pics! I didn't lose my but to awfully bad on my SD so that made it a little easier!

Well.... I don't have a new Ford GT and likely won't even get chosen for one.

So I'm limited per se. Porsche can take my money... :D

Whats more interesting is that most here that have a Raptor are not using it for what it was intended. This is the reason I have not purchased one.
which wouldn't be any different than gt350 owners not using their vehicles 'as intended' either.

And what percentage of the time behind the wheel is that? The rest of the time, you're not using it as intended. You should be ashamed...:tsk:

Anyone who has anything other than a Camry is not using whatever they've got the vast majority of time as intended. Come to think of it, if you had a Camry and the back seat isn't used by 2-3 passengers, then you're not using it as intended. We can go on all day like this...:headbonk:

Your silly! I simply stated that i personally did not buy a raptor because I would not use it for its intended design purpose. My R has seen and will see the track frequently as did my track pack. Taking it to serious:lol:

Then you should have just said that instead of throwing shade on people who did buy a Raptor but have no intentions of off-road racing it. Iā€™d say far more Raptor owners take their trucks off-road then GT350R owners put theirs on a track. By a HUGE margin.

Whats more interesting is that most here that have a Raptor are not using it for what it was intended. This is the reason I have not purchased one.

I have a Gen1 2012 Raptor and a 2017 GT350R. I won't and haven't ever considered selling the Raptor. I plan on having it for as long as I am around. When I lived in San Diego I used to take it out to Ocotillo Wells and run with the Raptor crowd out there. It was the best! I have to admit, I enjoyed blasting down the washouts at 70 miles in the sand more than I did at driving the regular GT350s at Track Attack. I get tons of looks in the GT350R, but always got tons of looks and compliments on the Raptor. Here is something that I noticed...I get more looks from the ladies in the Raptor and essentially zero looks from ladies in the GT350R. Both men and boys love the GT350R.

FYI, I won't be upgrading to the Gen2 Raptor. I'm a naturally aspirated 6.2 8 cyl purist. Sorry. The exhaust sound with my MBRP muffler is CRAZY!
