There are some messed up people in this world If they want my car that badly they can have it.
I'm not risking my Mrs being traumatised or even worse hurt for the sake of a bit of metal and rubber.

I live in a pretty nice area and my car will be on a drive way. I'm quite precious about my cars but there is only so much you can do.

Whatever was wrong with having a key with a chip in it. Not looking forward to carrying a bulky remote control in my tight jeans pocket :D

How high are the walls to fit the lift in? 7ft? Also how deep does the concrete floor need to be? I'm getting a prefab garage for the Mustang and I want to put a 2 post lift in it.

The garage is 20ft X 20ft and around 9ft high to the roof trusses. I used to only use the lift to do basic stuff on and used a little stool on wheels to sit on whilst doing jobs under the car...

Not sure how thick the concrete is, but the lift in the photos isn't fixed, and is designed to be free standing...

I noticed that in the manual it states that if you turn the engine off and then realise you don't have the key fob on you that you have 20 seconds to restart the engine without it checking for the key.

Opening the doors however appears to abort this, according to the badly phrased manual.

If you get out of the car with the key in your pocket and you leave it running it will display a warning on screen and it will keep sounding the horn for a short period to warn you.

For safety purposes there is no engine "kill switch" if you take the key out of the car after you have started it. The engine will continue to run - but as mentioned above if you switch it off for 20 seconds you will not be able to turn it back on without the key...

Also - in terms of zones for opening the car doors - you do need to be close to the doors or trunk - I would say within 1.5 metres. The zones are shown in the manual.
