Painting EB valve cover

I know CPE posted some pics of their painted VC a while back and I am curious if anyone else has done it. If so, I have a few questions:
- What is it made of? Guessing plastic, but maybe it's metal.
- Would removing/reinstalling the VC require any gaskets or anything to be replaced?

Sorry I misread the actual valve cover is metal ,I thought you were talking about the engine cover

It's metal and only held on with a few plastic screws IIRC

Pretty easy to remove

my valve cover was painted by the awesome staff at the American Muscle pre-painted parts shop
They normally don't do custom work but let's just say I know a guy
The valve cover is made from plastic
I purchased a new cover from the FORD dealer for around $60 and had that virgin cover painted Ingot silver with blue pearl then cleared...

not calling you out but there is no way you removed it if you think its metal
