Nice, should have figured you knew what LLs are. How is mixing gin and bourbon? Have not tried that.
It's pretty fantastic, which is kind of surprising, the bourbon is oaky, a little hint of vanilla, spicy, and then the gin comes in with the herbals, that kind of anise, juniper flavor - you'd think it might conflict but it's very complimentary.

Kind of assume you like gin, and the gin brand probably makes a huge difference, Hendricks has a really wild, complex flavor, it actually uses cucumber, so it's a really fresh herbal flavor, I like it straight with ice.

No problem there, drinking alone gets old. I have found that after building my own bar, I never go to actual bars anymore. Haha
Much better that way. You don't have to worry about driving home.

m0nty55 that's a beautiful house man! GT350 will look nice in it
Old Car Guy always welcome man, there are some great beer spots in Boise
Todd15Fastback love that home theater setup, I think that's something that I want to get done eventually upstairs
Thanks buddy. Your crib is sweet, too!

I had all the work done about 4 years ago. It is a 125" screen or 10' x 6'. I have a Mitsubishi 1080P LCD projector with a Marantz 7.2 receiver. (2)12" powered subs with front, center, side and rear ceiling flush mounted speakers. The room is 20x20. We enjoy it a lot between Xbox one, movies, football games and blu-Ray concerts. The sounds are just amazing as the receiver is 100 watts a channel.

It will be money well spent, so do it:D
You guys must all be pretty wealthy (or in mortgages up to your eye balls), impressive houses..those would be pretty expensive and not very common in Pensacola.
Nah, not at all. We have been in our house for 15 years, bought it new and had it built actually. We have redone the kitchen and family room over the last 4 years, including adding the theater room.
We are ready to upgrade to another, new custom home but we are holding off as our children are in an amazing school district and we can't buy any land in the area to suit us building our home, so we will stay another 5-6 years, then buy our land and build.
Lots of beige in here :D Todd15Fastback, digging on that "coffee / mocha" in the bedroom ([edit] and theaterTV/media room)!
Thanks buddy. The wife picked that color. It is very cozy at night. We also did our crown and baseboards in the kitchen the same color as it is a great contrast between the wall paint and antiqued color of the cabinets that you see in the double oven picture.

MaskedRacerX If you want to try a pretty damn good summer drink (I mean, you live in FL too so that's almost any time), try a Lynchburg Lemonade. It's made with Jack Daniels, sprite, triple sec, and sweet&sour mix. 1 part of JD/Tripl/SS, then top off the glass with the sprite. Great stuff to get drunk on the beach with. use 66 proof triple sec for a sure way to a good time. Doesn't have to be JD but that's the namesake drink. I've done it with Jim Beam many times... hell you could even go down to Evan Williams if you wanted to. All of the mixers tame down the whiskey flavor a lot.
I like a Jack smash or Smashed Jack, as it goes by both names. Very good and refreshing, too. I am a Jack Daniels Single Barrel lover. My go to whiskey for well over 15 years :D

I don't have a very big house but we've got spider problems!

I don't know what's scarier: the spider or the shadow. [emoji15]

There should be some kind of voting/rating thing where we can keep good topics on the main page.

Not enough people come to this section, I rarely do

No one comes here. It's at the bottom of the page. A few months ago I did a vote in main to have this forum brought up to the top and they wouldn't do it.
