Check your cars carefully when you get them- I now know of 2 S550s delivered with serious paint defects. So much for FoMoCos pre delivery checks. Im not giving any more details to protect the privacy of the owners.

Specifically what defect? As in scratches? Paint blemishes ect? You can provide some detail without giving owners names

Saying that I'm loving my car more each day. The way it sits flat on the road , pulls away strongly when you put your foot down and pulls up under strong braking is something to experience.

Yeah I found 2 paint defects on passenger side rear window surround (really rough edge) same on passenger side rear bar rough on edges. Passenger seat belt is twisted the wrong way and rear bar has a gap on the passenger side out by a few mm

I'll get it all sorted after holidays. Other than that love the car!!!

its special paint like mine hybrid.. Takes an extra week... then they have to hold it at the docks for weeks.. to make sure the other cars arent jealous.

My beautiful paint work has gone from snow, to 40+ degrees, not surprised there are paint issues as mine is still sitting at the docks in Melbourne. I even offered to pick up the car myself!

Just had a reply from Deysha RE. my car. It was built Dec 3 supposed to be at the port on the 18 dec but still has not been released from plant. No reason given.

Saw my dealer this morning, Had a look over 2 cars that were there. One in my colour. Magnetic = Mag-frickin-nificent
One of the cars had a poorly aligned bumper (hadn't been PD'd yet) The other was blemish free as far as I could tell.
Then got a pleasant surprise, I have a build date of March 31st, I know it could move but it's a few months earlier than I anticipated. I now have a small problem that other lease was planned to finish in October when I was expecting this to arrive.
I got given some sort of Ford order number to track..
