This is not made to offend anyone that works for the company but does anyone have parts made by them. Saw on their Facebook page they have a bare carbon track pack spoiler for the 350. Just wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with them. Again I don't wish to offend anyone just want to make sure before making the purchase. Thanks in advance.

I don't think your being offensive. I'm interested in knowing the fit and finish of their carbon fiber products also. I've had bad luck with a lot of Aftermarket body parts in the past and most were not good at all. I hope things are better with the carbon fiber makers.

They are a vendor here on the forums under their company name.

I saw a thread on their fitment issues on the R wing. Not sure if that was squared away.

I'm one of the ones that has issues with the R wing.
I know they've resolved it with some.
I'm waiting to see if CD lives up to what they told me.
I'll let you know.

I posted in that thread, too - but.. Give it time. The early knock-offs of most wings seem to always need work. This one is even a little more complicated than most.

I have a problem with issues like this. I have a tool and die back ground and also come from a family that owns a body shop. After seeing the pictures that another member posted of his R spoiler I can not for the life of me see how a company can sell and release a product that has fitmet issues like this. Often times you will hear the aftermarket will blame it on the oem tolerance and not ever say it's because of their own workmanship. They either have some very poor molds, or poor practice of quality. I went through this many times with many companies in my industry. If you offer a product to the masses no matter what it is it should fit as a oem.

I was hoping the R wing from them would be more like OEM direct bolt on as well. I am sure the original R wings are Vacuum bagged and Autoclaved using prepregged carbon fiber just like the wheels on the R. This is a perfect fit ALWAYS but time consuming and the materials are usually 1000% more than standard hand laid process that is why the true R OEM from Ford parts are so expensive.

Even if Carbon Dynamics 3D scanned or got direct shared data from Ford they may get the mold close or right but if they skimp on materials or rush the wing from the mold it won't be close or right. Just manufacturing. When I use to design and build offshore race boats you would use the best possible resin and quality biaxial glass for the least amount of shrinkage and kept it in the mold as long as you could so the exotherm cure was complete resulting in no warp or deflection especially in hull bottoms. Boats over 100mph don't work well with hooks or deformed strakes in the bottom.

Maybe it is just the workmanship or work force at Carbon Dynamics. Maybe if they read what I put on top it might help them fix it? Use better materials and keep it in the mold longer! That is only good if the mold they start from is good!

Hope they get it right I want an R wing for mine.

I just get tired of seeing a company say how well their products are engineered or made, then when you lay down you hard earned money and buy what you believe is the best product out on the market just to be disappointed. Then you play the shipping and return game. I hope CD pulls through on this. I would expect a poor fitting item from China. Not a company from USA. The aftermarket has to get its quality pulled together. Qs9000 Etc.

Thanks for all the help guys! I've decided not to get it from them after hearing some stories and receiving messages. It's a real shame because the bare carbon looks amazing.

That sucks because I was really hoping they were better because I thought about possibly buying things from them if they were to make carbon fiber pieces for my GT350

Exactly! My ultimate goal was to replace all the black exterior pieces with carbon parts even if it was just carbon look. Oh well maybe there will be another company.

That's exactly what I was going to do. The rocker pieces, the front splitter and fangs, rear defuser all in carbon. My gt350 is a track pack.

If I'm paying for a product, I expect it to be right from the beginning. Not trying to go on a mission with returns or discounts. They need to step up the quality. Maybe pull each wing out of the box and check the fitment prior to shipping.
