That would be cool for a Mach1

Would be cool if Ford threw us an early Christmas present with a teaser shot today/tomorrow..........assuming there is anything Mustangy planned for Detroit :ford:

ent, or make it some kind of factory performance kit from Ford Racing.

So let's see ...

2017 Mach I
GTPP standard
Magnetic ride standard
GT350 Recaros and rear wing
Unique model badging

GTPP has new style wheels, matching rear Brembos in black or red

Includes new FR performance kit: new tuning/calibration, intake, dual-mode exhaust system, rated at 455HP, 415lb/ft TQ

4 year run...no way man...no one does that anymore...most are on 3 year refreshes now...some even sooner if their car isn't selling or the competition seriously 1-ups them. That's like shooting yourself in the foot. People wait because they are waiting for certain plateaus to hit...like transmissions, engine updates, etc.

Ford will do something to refresh the car for the '17. My guess is its the fascia and the 10 speed. Engine bumps etc I think come in MY '18.

They announced the '16 MY stuff in May of last year....so I assume we'll get it around the same time unless they are unveiling some new stuff.
It's already a known fact that this "refresh" is for the 2018 model... NOT the 2017.

Wonder what fact you are talking about here ? They haven't even announced 2017 stuff yet...

There are articles and resources already noting it. Mach 1 is also scheduled for 2018. Take some time to read or pick up an auto magazine before criticizing.

Just because 2017 isn't out yet, does not mean that companies don't have a product map for their vehicles. :headbonk:

I think double was inferring nothing is "fact" until Ford announces it. You're right though, there's been plenty of info posted online and in the mags to indicate the facelift is for the '18MY........but nothing offically from Ford :)

The sources for a lot of those magazines are probably just speculation or shit they read from internet forums anyway.

Damn I forgot the auto magazines are so correct in their predictions. One random site puts up something and the rest just regurgitate it as fact then everyone goes...oh that's fact.

Sorry nothing you just said means jack-sh-t in terms of facts.

Did you see the memo Mark Fields sent out to the Mustang team telling them that he was disappointed the Camaro won car of the year and how did the Mustang 1 year early with their new gen model fail to win it?

See that's now on the internet so it must be fact because I typed it.

Tired of clowns saying oh it was said here so...nothing is known until Ford announces it.

I forgot who it was...or when it was posted (it was in 2015) here on this forum...

Someone said that they worked at Fords transmission plant and they were planning on switching over to the 10 speed "in 2016" or something like that...that they were already building 10 speeds.

Mind you that means little since the F series are going over to the 10's very soon, but it's something at least.

Quite obviously you have no idea what you are talking about. Clearly you are holding out on a mustang in hopes it changes to some better version after a year and a half and that's not going to happen, even with you "willing" it to happen on an internet forum. You might as well hold off until 2030 I hear a refresh is coming and ford will offer a jet engine with a 39 speed transmission.

I doubt there will be a big refresh for 2017, that's only 2 model years. 2018 is far more likely a guess for a slight visual refresh and a new performance model.

And I highly doubt any 8/10 speed auto tans yet either. They go through the truck line first generally and the Raptor is just getting it for 2017 and then down to the F150 line to the Mustang.

Better buy NOW! I've read where Ford will quit putting the V8 in the Mustang. The horror! I read it on the internet... so it must be true!

Speculation and fact have different meanings, at least in the copy of the dictionary I have. Ford "official" info should start flowing just before, at, or after the Cobo show in January.

That is all...

So no Christmas tease for me then
Nope, not for Christmas... the Grinch stole it.

But, you never know. They kept the new Ford GT out of the public eye until last January at the press gathering before the show. Dropped the bomb. With a 600+ hp twin turbo 6 banger. Wait a minute... maybe they will quit making the V8.

I got mine. Car manufacturers usually will make replacement parts for up to 7 years. Now if the Feds will just be nice and not outlaw gasoline, I'm set for a while.

That is all...
